Advantages: Nice bottle, cleans hair and leaves it soft and shiny
Disadvantages: The scent isn't as I anticipated it to be, doesn't completely straighten hair!
When it comes to shampoos and conditioners I usually pick up whatver deems to be a good deal, smells nice when I sniff it in store and is from a brand I am aware of so when I recently spotted this in my local Poundland store and noticing that it is for Rebellious, Frizzy hair (which mine is at the moment!) I bought it along with the matching conditioner.
The Packaging:
This comes in a large seee-through plastic bottle that has a light bronze and purple style flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole and then on the front of it in black and white writing we are told that it is Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair With Liquid Kerating 'Bamboo & Orchid Essence Asia Straight Shampoo and that it offers 'Long-lasting straightening & shine' and that as I mentioned earlier it is meant to be used on Rebellious, Frizzy Hair. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a little bit about the product and how to use it, the ingredients are listed, the size is stated which is 250ml, we are told to use the product up from the time of opening it within 12 months and contact details for Schwarzkopf & Henkel (the manufacturer of the product) are clearly stated. This is a nice looking bottle, plain but elegant enough I think!
The Shampoo Itself:
Well the shampoo is a clear, good consitency gel. It isn't runny but not a stiff gel either and I find it easy enough to dispense out of the bottle and it comes out clear but with a hint of a lilac colour to it.
What does impress me most about this shampoo is how little I need of it per application. Usually I'm rather heavy handed with shampoos and the likes but with this one a really small amount goes a really long way on my shoulder length hair and of course to use it you apply it to damp/wet hair and rinse it out thoroughly and can do it again before using conditioner if you so desire and me, well I always shampoo my hair through twice.
The only thing I found a bit of a let down with this one is the scent. Don't get me wrong it it a nice and natural floral fragranced one, best suited to us ladies I think, well blended and light however I did think by it being called 'Asia Straight' that the scent would be warmer, more exotic....spicier but for me the scent of this is nothing unusual sadly however when I have used this the scent does linger cleanly on my hair for a good few hours to be fair to it.
All in all though this is a pretty decent shampoo I am happy to report. It cleanses my hair, rinses out easily and leaves me with supple and soft hair, though not so soft I can't style it. It does seem to straighten my hair a little without any residue weighing it down but without styling my hair with other hair products and some very hot hair straighteners my hair isn't going to be poker straight however this is a good base to work from and does seems to tame down frizzies rather alot and define the wet curls I have when I have washed it so I can even wear my hair curly after using this and they look a lot less messy than usual!
I can't say I'm overly impressed with this and I think thats mainly due to the scent of it but it does leaves me with clean looking and scented hair and with a nice sheen too and at a pound a bottle I think it is rather a bargain!
Available in all good supermarkets, chemists and discount stores like Poundland!

Summary: A nice enough, every day sort of shampoo that shouldn't break the bank!
