I like to try different shampoos and conditioners, as my hair is a bit wild and tends to do whatever it wants most of the time! I bought this product when it was on offer in Bodycare – 99p for 200ml, which seems to be a standard price across a lot of stores through a quick google search!
This product comes in quite a small bottle, which is mostly white in colour with a bit of writing and picture. The shape is quite nice and it fits well into your hand which is useful – some bigger bottles I guess can be a bit big to faff with! The bottle has a flip cap lip, which is really easy to open in the shower and with wet hands – again, I have tried other products previously where opening the cap has been quite a trial!
The product itself is a creamy texture. The smell is hard to describe – not overpowering, and not unpleasant, but perhaps a little “chemically”. However, it does not smell bad once you are out of the shower and your hair has dried so nothing really to worry about there.
When I first started using this product, I used it with the shampoo. However, I ran out of conditioner lloonngg before the shampoo so had to go and buy a second bottle, which I am now using on it’s own. I wouldn’t say that I have noticed a difference between when I used both products together or not, however I have noticed that over time, Schwarzkopf Gliss conditioner does seem to have make my hair much less frizzy, and a bit more sleek. In fact, I actually used another conditioner to see if there was a difference on one occasion, and the other conditioner literally made my hair “poof” out and feel a little greasy after one day! So the Gliss conditioner definitely shows results, but it does take time to work – so don’t expect immediate results!
Overall, I would recommend giving this product a go, especially for the cheap price tag! For me, it works just as well as the more expensive brands on the market for a fraction of the price. Just have patience with it!
Good product to try, cheap, reduces frizz.
I have been trying out a few shampoos and conditioners in the Gliss range as they were advertised as being 'sulphate free' MY hair lacks volume and it is quite dry at near to the ends and I was also looking for something that wasn't going to cost a fortune as I have to watch the pennies but that might help to repair the ends and stop them looked so crispy. The best place to find Gliss hair care products is without doubt Home Bargains. They have possibly the whole range in my local store and they all cost only ninety nine pence a bottle, whether it's the shampoo or the conditioner you are buying. As i say, I needed a product that was going to help to repair my dry and extremely damaged ends and this one has done the job for me really well in a very short space of time. The bottle itself is basically mostly white in colour and it has a useful flip top lid and stands on its head, and this makes really easy when having a shower. The conditioner itself is white in colour and has a pearly look to it.I use this all over my hair but I leave it on longer at the ends where my hair is at its driest. it rinses off well afterwards and it has made a noticeable improvement to the dry ends of my hair. I do use heated appliances on my hair and this really helps to protect the most vulnerable parts of it. It's not at all expensive and I only need to use a small amount. I feel that during the time I have been using it it has rehydrated my dry ends, it's softened my hair and it has made it look in overall much better condition. I have to really recommend it thoroughly.
The other day I was out shopping with my mate and we were browsing one of my favourite bargain shops which is Poundland. I realised I was running low on shampoo and conditioner when I spotted alot of different Gliss shampoos and conditioners and my mate who has wonderful hair said she was using this so without any hesitation I bought the shampoo and this matching conditioner.
This comes in a white and orange coloured plastic bottle with a flip top lid to the bottom of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle we are told that it is Schwarkopf Gliss Hair Repair'With Liquid Keratin' and that it contains 19 Active Ingredients 'Combability, Deep Repair & Shine' and that it is for Dry, Damaged Hair and then on the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a little bit about the product and how to use it (after shampooing our hair first lol), the ingredients are listed as is the size stated which is 200ml and the only size I have ever seen this to purchase in by the way and we are told to use it up once opening it within 12 months and contact details for the manufacturer are given. This is a nice looking sort of unisex bottle this one which looks and feels good quality as you would expect from this brand.
On the bck of the bottle we are told that this conditioner should given up to 95% less breakage and is to give us supple hair. Oddly enough on the front of the bottle we are told that this provides us with 19 active ingredients to make our hair feel amazing but nowhere are we privvy to what those ingredients actually are!
Using this is of course really simple. Wash you hair first (I do use the matching shampoo of this one at the moment but you could use what ever shampoo you want to of course!) and you don't need very much of the thickish, shimmery white conditioner at all as a little of it goes a long way. I have just below shoulder length hair and I was surprised at how little I needed the first time I used it as it glides through the hair and coats it easily without feeling greasy. The fragrance of this is hard to describe though. To me its sweet and floral and relly nice and not too harsh and I like it though I guess it is a female friendly fragrance really.
I leave this on my hair anywhere between 1 minute if in a hurry to a few minutes while I relax in my bath, it smells great, feels really soothing on my hair and scalp and rinses out really easily too.
This leaves my hair feeling and smelling fantastic however immedietly after using this and styling my hair it makes my hair flyaway so in my case my hair looks better the day after using this one!
First off the fragrance is wonderful and lingers on my hair until I next wash it and its a gentle clean smell full of quality so you know it isn't something cheap I have washed my hair in. Secondly it doesn't upset my dandruff prone scalp at all which was a concern to me as I have had issues with that lately. Thirdly I am prone to very dry hair and when washed even when using a decent conditionerwhen I comb my hair I come across knots and tangles resulting in hair loss as I try drag a comb out of it, with this my comb glides and I came across no knots at all which was surprising to me!
This left my hair looking and feeling smooth, didn't upset my prone to greasy roots though like I have touched on already my only issue with this is that when my hair has been treated with this it does make my hair flyaway and a bit too soft too style though its great the next day!
All in all although this does make my hair harder to style I love the fact that my hair feels soft supple, shiny and clean after using this and I have found I have had less snapping of hairs when styling it and combing it in general. I used this last night before going out as I had no other conditioner in to use instead and I felt my hair looked too soft and fluffy but my mate actully said your hair looks great and I'm so jealous and thats the one with the hair that I envy!
A great conditioner that I highly recommend for people with dry hair as it is so thick and nourishing!
Available in alot of discount stores and some supermarkets...thumbs up from me!

I bought this conditioner after using the Scott Cornwall's Hair B4 product which left my hair in a less than desirable state. The ends literally felt like straw and the rest of it was dry and quite obviously damaged, to accompany hot oil treatmens I also purchased the Schwarzkopf Glis Hair Total Repair conditioner.
It recommends that you use the conditioner with the Schwarzopf conditioner with the same branded shampoo but I didn't. I used a handful of condition (because my hair is so long) and applied it from the crown to the ends concentrating particularly on the ends and massaged it in for 2-3 minutes. I then left it to work for 10 minutes and then rinsed thoroughly with warm water.
When i'd done that i ran my fingers through my hair and it felt really smooth which is a sign of a good conditioner. After blowdrying my hair felt a lot better, but this only lasted for a day then it was back to feeling dry and damaged!
However, I persavered with it and used it regularly after shampooing and eventually it had the desired effect-the moisture was restored in my hair and overall it felt much better! The smell of the conditioner was one of the main advantages, its hard to describe the smell but its really fresh and lasts in your hair as well which I don't find with many other conditioners.
The price of this product was around £4.30 from Superdrug, I would only recommend this product if you are willing to wait for see results, if your hair is in a pretty bad condition I would opt for another product. Overall, I would use this conditioner again because of the smell! The effects aren't instant but when they are finally shown it's worth it!
Generally, my hair can be very dry and dull, unmanagable, tangly, unkept... the list is miles long, let's put it that way. And I'm a real baragin hunter generally favouring the Pound shop over the Body shop so when I found that I could snap up a well known conditioner such as Gliss for £1 I stocked right up!
Firstly the one thing that really annoys me with any shampoo or contitioner when I'm using it in the shower is having to unscrew a lid. Call me lazy but this can seriously slow a girl down! So having a shutting lid is a real benefit for a lazy girl like me.
Most importantly however is the consistensy of this porduct and how much nicer my hair was even just after a first use. Naturally I now use it for every hairwash, it really epitomises value for money for me!
Since buying this repairing conditioner I have bought a lot of shampoos and conditioners from the Gliss range and I find that they all tend to keep my hair shinier and stronger.
I would recommend this product to anyone with any hair type, your hair really doesn't need to be in as bad a state as I mentioned mine has been in at the beginning for the effects of this product to show on you!
I always go for 'repair' type conditioners as I find they work best for my hair type, but I always switch around brands depending whats on offer. This was bogof at the time I purchases, normaly it is around £2 a bottle.
The bottle itself is of original design which is nice to hold and is very good at not getting the conditioner stuck in teh bottle and wasted.
It is a thick white mixture, and I tend to use around a tablespoons worrth each time and I found that is plenty for my below shoulder lenght hair. I wash my hair pretty much ever other day and the bottle has lasted me about 3 weeks so... *quick calculations*... so 10 applications per bottle for me. Which seems rather lacking... i'll update this in a few weeks just to confirm that.
It does work. it doesnt leave my hair greasy or heavy, and it smooths the hair strands. The biggestest difference I have noticed though is that my hair brushes really easy after using the product, rather than before it would be very knotty and hard to brush out.
I highly recomend this product to any one with dry or damaged hair as I began to see a difference after just a few usages.
My hair is more than wavy, its curly, its thick, and it can get dry. I decided to grow it and refused to trim my hair. I then discovered that as long as you use a good conditioner there is NO NEED to trim the hair. Proof is once you have washed, conditioned, dried, styled, your hair, have a look at the ends if the split ends have disappeared into a smooth hair tip then you are onto a winner conditioner. So for the last 4 years of growing my hair I have tried ALL sorts, and brands of hair conditioner. Some time ago found an advert in a magazine of Schwarzkopf Gliss Total Repair conditioner stating it has 19 active ingredients. Tracked it down and wow from the first use wow. They have really discovered something here. Leave it on your hair for more than 3 minutes, the more the better, and it doesn't take long to work either. My hair is soft smooth easy to brush less breakage and no more split ends. I use to get a frizz bomb of curly hair but now I can let my hair curl naturally and the curls stay smooth and tame. The best thing my hair has reached the length I want faster than if I didnt take care of it, and did the dreaded trims. I recommend this conditioner and I have a little stockpile of it for up coming holidays.
Got hold of there newest addition Gliss Asia Straight Conditioner so will be trying out and review that one soon.
After my holidays with the punishing effects of drying UV rays, salt, chlorine, sand, sea- salt and highlights, my hair was in a real poor state of repair. (It is very dry and often brittle at the best of times). As a result I was eager to find a conditioner that would help me to address the problems but not prove to be too expensive...
Whilst shopping in Morrisons I came across Schwarzkopf's 'Gliss' range of products. I noticed one called 'Total Repair Conditioner'. The price in the supermarket was £1.79 for a 200ml bottle. However, as it was on a 'buy one get one free' promotion I decided to try it.
The claim on the bottle was that it was able to repair hair damage. It said that the conditioner had been especially formulated for the repair of dry damaged hair and that not only does it repair the surface of the hair but works inside the hair shaft to re-construct the hair fibre.
Furthermore, it claims that Gliss only repairs where it is most needed without over-treating healthy areas or weighing hair down nourished healthy hair. It also says that it only works on the damaged areas and doesn't over-treat healthy hair so it doesn't weigh the hair down.
It says that 'Total Repair 19 is a complex of 19 repair ingredients in one formula, with intelligent 'scan repair complex'. It maintains that the 19 ingredients in the conditioner 'identifies the needs of your hair' and use of the product results in up to 95% less breakage'.
These claims sounded good but were they believable? I decided to put the claims to the test...
I applied the conditioner following the directions on the bottle ie apply after shampooing, massage in and then rinse thoroughly. The conditioner was delicately and pleasantly fragranced. It was white in colour and very thick and rich in texture. When i applied it, it did 'feel' as though it was providing some nourishment for my hair...
After using the conditioner my hair felt much softer and shinier...it was more supple and yet not weighted down in any way. However, I could not really determine whether my hair was repaired from within though!! I guess that would need some sort of 'scientific' experiment to test that claim.
Overall, I would thoroughly recommend that anyone with dry, curly or frizzy hair give this product a trial.
What were the 'special ingredients' then?
