Advantages: Looks great
Disadvantages: Can't see an increase in shine
I bought this Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Gloss Express Repair Conditioner - phew what a long name - for two reasons. Firstly, I had some vouchers from Schwarzkopf which I received as part of an apology for a product defect and secondly when I went to Superdrug that day I found that all the Schwarzkopf hair care items (not sure if it included dyes too) were on BOGOF offers. Moreover, I had tried their coconut and yoghurt conditioner a month or two ago and been very pleased with it so had high hopes for this.
This product comes in a pretty pink can. The bottle is a sort of frosted iridescent pink which really looks nice and keeps in with the pink theme that they use for the Gliss range. The cap is a dull matte bronze. Inside the liquid looks like a soft milky pink at the top and then it is a dark pink reflective liquid at the bottom. When this is shakes as they advise you to do before use then the whole bottle goes baby pink. (It reminds me of Dentyl PH mouthwash in that way.) There is 200ml in a bottle. The claim made is that it will turn brittle and dull hair into hair that is as smooth as silk. I love the smell of this very much. It isn't overwhelming and doesn't smell as strong as the Supersoft range I am familiar with which neither pleases nor bothers me. It reminds me of a soft sweet rose smell which I really like and my hair smells just as it would after leaving a professional salon.
When you spray it, it comes out like a mist which you just spray all over your head onto dry hair so it's very easy to use and I haven't had any greasiness from it yet which is good. One of the claims the make is that it repairs hair from the inside; I am sceptical about this as I don't think it's possible. The other main claim it makes is that it will make your hair shiny. Again I didn't notice any huge difference. I thought this was a real shame as other than that it is a lovely product to look at, smell and use but if there was any increase in shine, then it wasn't very visible.
These can be bought at Superdrug and Boots stores for £2.95. I think Superdrug is running its special offer till the 9th so now would be a good time to check out their products.
Summary: I think I'll try a different one next time
