The Gliss liquid silk shampoo is available in most pound stores for (yes you''ve guessed!) 1 pound, for which you receive a 250ml bottle of shampoo. The shampoo is made by Schwarzkopf. The shampoo is a dark creamy colour and dispenses from the bottle easily, although I don''t find it''s so runny that it''s hard to control - it is thick enough to stay on my hand feeling high quality. The shampoo lathers very well into wet hair and is also very easy to rinse out, taking a very short space of time. After washing is where I find the biggest positive. My hair is so easy to brush through once washed. This shampoo seems to really help tangles in my thick hair - and that''s without using any sort of conditioner, although if required there is also a conditioner available from this same range. The shampoo doesn''t really have all that much scent though - meaning that no scent is left in the hair after use which is a bit of a letdown as I feel the scent makes me think my hair is beautiful and clean! My hair is thick and gets greasy quite fast and unfortunately this shampoo doesn''t seem to help matters. I always like to wash my hair every other day, so every 48 hours, but after about 36 hours it really starts to look like it needs another wash due to greasy roots appearing. This isn''t ideal for me as I tend to have set times in the week that I spend doing my hair and it has meant I''ve had to reach for dry shampoo, something I hate using, just so it doesn''t look awful before I get to my wash time. It''s main claim is to make hair silky and although it is silky and is soft to touch, I don''t feel it gives a huge amount of shine on my hair. My hair is blonde so I don find it shines as much as brunette hair anyway, but I definitely think other shampoos I''ve used have helped the shine more previously. The shampoo contains liquid keratin to help with hair repair, although I wouldn''t say I''ve noticed a huge difference with my hair in terms of split ends and fallout - it''s just the same as it was. I would recommend this shampoo on the whole, as for 1 pound I can''t complain, although it''s not fantastic.
I don't really tend to use the same shampoo as living in a house of 5 my parents normally buy whichever is on offer. In the bundle was the Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Shampoo. For starters I really like the bottle its pearly pink and stands out from the other bottles and a nice shape. Ok so about the product
Proven results: smoothes the hair surface
Intense shine - for hair as smooth as silk
So when I used this product the smell was nice a clean fresh smell - nothing floral or anything. Actually the kind of smell when my mam washes the clothes?
I apply a little shampoo and apply to my hair - lathers well and nice to wash with. I do agree with the results above smoothes the hair and smooth as silk - but only for a while after I have dried my hair. The day after it's not long before it's greasy? Not a good look. Ever since I started using this product my scalp is super itchy and sore and flaky. I wont be using this product again.
I am not brand loyal when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, although I have a few favourites I do tend to swap and change frequently as my hair once used to a product becomes unruly. Also I am very price driven and will tend to purchase what is on special offer and this was why I ended up buying the Schwarzkoph Gliss liquid silk shampoo and matching conditioner.
I purchased a 250ml bottle of the shampoo recently from Superdrug where it was recently on a half price special offer at just £1.25 which I thought was very good value.
The shampoo comes packaged in a lovely shimmery pink plastic bottle with a pink and gold flip top cap. The labels on the bottle detail all the necessary information including ingredients listings, directions for use and state how the shampoo's formula works to give its results.
My hair is quite dry and a little brittle as I tend to blow-dry and straighten my hair almost daily. This shampoo claims to contain a cell repair system to repair your hair to make it more supple and to smooth the surface of your hair to make it feel as smooth as silk and to give it shine. It also states that it is a daily use shampoo which suits me well as I tend to wash my hair around 5 times per week.
I have been using this shampoo and matching conditioner for around two weeks now and have been quite impressed. The shampoo itself is thick and glossy and I find that I only need to use a small amount to get a good lather. It has a light floral/fruity fragrance which is very pleasant and not too overpowering. It also rinses out easily leaving my hair feeling cleansed and fresh and not at all clogged with product like I have found with some shampoos. After following with the matching conditioner I have found that my hair feels much smoother and is less frizzy which has cut down on styling time. My hair after styling also looks glossier and therefore healthier.
Overall I would certainly recommend this shampoo for people with dry/damaged and frizz prone hair as it has certainly made mine look better. Also for the price I think it is complete bargain especially if you can find it on offer.
5 stars from me.
Having run out of shampoo and a few other essentials, I made a quick trip to the nearest shop and spotted this shampoo- being pink and girly it stood right out! Whilst not my usual brand I thought what the heck i'd give it a whirl.
9/10 for packaging! The shampoo comes in a very girly pink and gold bottle, with clear information, about what it does and the hair type it is for.
The packaging promised that hair will be "as smooth as silk", and that it will make your hair shiny and glossy, so it had a lot to live up to, and unfortunately it couldn't meet all that it promised. The positives of the shampoo, were;
1. That it smelt very nice and left my hair smelling very pleasant.
2. It left my hair feeling very soft
3. It did make my hair shiny
It is also very reasonably priced at approx £1-2
However the main and biggest negative point about the shampoo was:
1. It left my hair feeling very greasy, and by lunch time it had gone all flat and limp.
Overall I wasn't particularly impressed and I wouldn't buy it again. Although it made my hair soft and shiny, after a few hours of using, my hair would feel and look greasy and it was quite limp in appearance.
However the shampoo is advertised at people with 'brittle, dull hair' whereas mine was already in fairly good condition, which is why it might have made it greasy. But for those who have very dry hair, I definitely think it would be worth a try.
My hair is damaged, there is no doubt about that. I colour my hair and I also use a lot of heated appliances on it. The result of this is that I have very dry and brittle ends, but annoyingly, the roots are still greasy, which means that unless I was my hair every day, I end up with really flat and lifeless looking hair. I like to use good quality hair products whenever I possibly can and I also like to swap and change my hair products as I always think that sticking to using one product for any length of time, really results in my hair starting to look lank and lifeless.
One of the nicest shampoos I have tried recently and which my hair seems to really like, is the Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Gloss Shampoo which I bought from Wilkinson's for only £1.49 for a 250ml sized bottle. I have seen this particular shampoo in supermarkets for double this price so as soon as I spotted it at this price, I snapped up two bottles.
Reading the blurb on the back of this light pink plastic bottle, I immediately knew that it was just what my hair needed. It claims to sooth the surface of the hair and repair it from within. It contains identical proteins which are also found naturally in hair and it is these proteins which help to nourish and repair damaged hair and make it look and feel alive and nourished again.
This shampoo is very luxurious in that it lathers exceptionally well and I only need to use the smallest amount. I also use the conditioner in this range, and when used in conjunction with one another, they really do make a huge difference to the look and feel of my hair.
The fragrance of this shampoo is gorgeous. It is floral though not overpowering and the smell intensifies with the heat of the shower. The lather is rich and creamy and after I have finished massaging into my hair and scalp, it rinses clean away with no residue left behind.
After only one wash with this shampoo, the results are plain to see. My hair looks and feels better, much healthier, in better condition and not so dry and damaged at the ends. This is really a treat to use and my hair is certainly better for using it. I am still only two thirds of my way down my first bottle but as I only need to use the tiniest amount when I wash my hair, I know that it will be some time before I have used up both of y bottles.
I really cannot recommend this shampoo highly enough and I am so glad I discovered it. My hair was really crying out for something like this and it has done wonders in terms of improving its look and condition.
I give this full marks - I am delighted with it.
When my mother in-law bought me the Schwarzkopf Gliss set for my birthday, I already had quite a few bottles of shampoos stocked up so I wasn't really in a great need for this part of the set. However, after giving the conditioner a try, I just had to use the Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Gloss Shampoo as well due to the great results the conditioner gave me.
The first thing that I really like about this product is the packaging. It comes in a lovely light, sugary, pink bottle which looks really girly. I'm used to Treseme bottles in my bathroom which are either black or white so pink is a nice change. The bottle has the Schwarzkopf logo right at the top with Gliss printed in large, bold letters underneath. The opening on the bottle is at the top which comes in the form of a flip top which makes it easy to get the shampoo out. The bottle also states that this is a hair repair conditioner and aimed at people with brittle or dull hair.
I have real trouble finding a great shampoo or conditioner for my hair. It is long and very fine and not in the best condition due to blow drying and straightening. Sometimes, I can barely get a brush through it after washing which is a horrible feeling. This shampoo claims that it smoothes the hair's surface and contains proteins that are identical to the hair itself which enables it to repair from deep inside. If these things worked like they did with the conditioner, I was going to be a happy girl.
When shampooing my hair, I used a blob of the liquid roughly the size of a 50p piece. As soon as the hot water mixes in, it creates a wonderful lather so I probably could have done with using slightly less. This is one of the shampoos which actually lathers up extremely well and more than the average conditioner. It also smells fantastic both in and out of the water. The scent is soft and floral but not overpowering. While washing my hair with this shampoo, it makes my hair feel great immediately and I love how it smells.
When blow drying my hair, I could also see and feel the effects of this shampoo. For one thing, I could brush my hair through with complete ease instead of having to fight with it for a good while. Also, my hair felt smoother and in better condition as well as looking silky and shiny. It's quite hard to believe that something could make my hair so much better only the day after using two other different products which resulted in my hair being knotty and extremely tangled.
As you can probably tell, I love this shampoo. It does everything I could possibly want it to do, it smells fantastic and it works so well with my hair. RRP is roughly £2.50 for a 250ml bottle.
I have very thick hair that is also very dry, in addition it can be dull and frizzy, so I am forever looking for different shampoos to try to help me achieve a smooth, glossy and healthy looking head of hair. Whilst in the £ shop recently I noticed this Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk shampoo and thought I would give it a try. The bottle holds 250ml of shampoo and the price varies depending upon where it is purchased.
The bottle is pink and white and has a flip top lid, that does not leak though it is a bit on the stiff side open and I find I have to flip the lid off with my thumb with a of force. The product is designed to give your hair shine and suppleness as it contains liquid keratin, that is like silk. It should also help to repair your hair from the inside as it contains proteins that are similar to that of real hair, so after use your hair should be smooth, soft and silky.
The shampoo is a pearly white colour and smells very feminine, almost flowery. It lathers really well and therefore you only need to use a small amount. It rinses out well and leaves my hair clean, refreshed and smooth. Overall I would recommend this shampoo to others that have hair that needs smoothing and helping out with issues of frizziness. In addition he shampoo, rinses well leaves my hair lovely and clean, smooth and shiny (I can brush it through before using conditioner) and it is well priced.
Just recently I was running out of shampoo and conditioner so of course that meant I had to get some and where better to look for brands we all know of than Poundland? I am not overly fussy on what I buy in the way of shampoo and conditioners as long as its from a brand I have at least heard of and the colour of the packaging co-ordinates a bit the my bathroom (Bright green and yellow bottles really do look terrible in a fuchsia pink and purple bathroom I can tell you!).
So this of course cost me just a pound and I bought it with the matching conditioner from the same range.
This comes in a large pink bottle (the pink of this bottle is a bit darker than the conditioners bottle which I think is brilliant!) and it has a flip top style opening to the to top of it and on the front of the bottle we are told clearly what it is and who it is by and that it is meant to be used by people who have Brittle, Dull hair (Yep that'll be then!) and that it is meant to give 'Smoothness & Intense Shine Hair As Smooth As Silk) and then on the back of the bottle we are clearly told a bit about the shampoo and how it should work for us, directions for use are clearly given as are the ingredients, we are told to use the shampoo up fully within 12 months of opening it, the size of the bottle is also stated which is 250ml (50ml more than the matching conditioner) and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. Lovely looking, high quality looking bottle this is and a nice one to display in my bathroom too which is a big bonus for me!
The liquid is a shimmery looking rather runny shampoo which has iridescent sort of particles within the otherwise clear liquid. It has a lovely fresh fragrance of gentle florals to it and smells exactly the same as the matching conditioner. I simply wet my hair, use a small blob of this as to which it lathers up into thick white but moisturising feeling lather rather quickly, then I rinse it out which is really simply to do so and then I do it again before I use a conditioner (usually the matching one but it doesn't have to be and nothing on the packaging says otherwise or even hints at it).
This shampoo really cleans my hair, leaves it smelling lovely for a few good hours and makes my hair not only feel clean but it feels soft, looks really shiny and healthy (in a none fake way) and since using both this shampoo and the matching conditioner I have noticed a lot less breakage. I am impressed that my hair after using this feels less dry and looks more glossy and it without a shadow of a doubt is easier to style as well as being clean and looking and feeling healthy. I certainly have no quibbles with this shampoo at all though do feel that this is really only one for us ladies cos of the lovely feminine fragrance it has to it....well thats what I say and I'm sticking to it...its mine!
Available in all good supermarkets, discounts stores (B & M are currently stocking this along with Poundland and Poundworld at the moment) though Google if you really cant find this and Amazon does sell this at about four pounds a bottle including P+P.

WHAT IS IT?
Shampoo from Schwarzkopf that says it will add shine and health to brittle and dull hair.
WHAT I THINK
I do not like this shampoo because even though it makes my hair feel clean to start with after an hour or 2 it looks very flat and greasy. When I am washing my hair I like that there are a lot of bubbles and they feel very soft and conditioning, my hair feels soft and sleeker while I am washing it but this Gliss shampoo takes a long time to rinse out of my hair.
When it is first washed I am happy with how my hair looks. It looks clean and it is easy to style even though my hair feels a bit slippy when I am blow drying it. I have to use a bit extra of hair spray if I have styled my hair carefully but I am not concerned about that because I use a lot of styling products every day. I like very much how shiny my hair is because that makes it look like I have taken more time on it than I have.
It is after about 3 hours that my hair starts to look greasy and as soon as that happens my style falls out and goes flat. I get greasy roots after I have used this shampoo and the whole of the length of my hair loses the shine and looks very dull, more dull than before I washed it and that is not very good. I do not like the smell also because it is like plastic and that smell stays on my hair for a very long time.
Gliss Liquid Silk shampoo costs about £1.49 so it is very cheap but it does not work very well so I will not buy it again.
1 Dooyoo Star.
I have recently been trying a shampoo and conditioner for a product testing company, which I normally enjoy but on this occasion my hair has been left in a poor state. The conditioner in particular didn't work at all, and my hair looked very dull and lifeless as a result. Because of doing the trial, I wasn't able to use the other deep conditioning treatments that I usually apply weekly either. I decided to shop around for something to restore my hair back to something approaching it's normal state. In the end I settled for Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Shampoo, because it cost just £1 in Poundland.
WHAT THE SHAMPOO PROMISES TO DO.
I have combination hair, with dry ends that are prone to damage, and a scalp that goes greasy at the drop of a hat. It was also dull looking when I started using the product, as I mentioned above. The Gliss shampoo is designed for brittle and dull hair. Schwarzkopf say that their formula will target and repair damaged areas of the hair, both on the surface and below it. They promise that it will leave your hair as smooth as silk, as well as supple, and shiny. There is a matching conditioner, and I am sure that the brand will say that the best results come from using the two products together, but I could not purchase the conditioner at the time.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND APPLICATION
The shampoo comes in a distinctive shaped bottle that looks a bit retro. It has angular contoured top and square lid that reminds me of art-deco inspired designs. It is pale pinky peach in colour. The shampoo itself is a pearlescent pink which looks quite pretty and unusual. It reminds me of a thicker liquid hand soap, but the important thing is that it feeels very nice on my hands when I apply it to my hair. There's a certain creaminess which feels luxorious, although I did not feel that it lathers up as much as other shampoos. I could massage it easily through my hair despite finding the liquid a little thicker than normal. The scent reminds me of a classic baby shampoo such as Johnsons, but with a touch more perfume. It is a fresh and pleasant scent and I was delighted to be able to detect gentle wafts of it throughout the day and into the next. The scent made massaging it into my hair enjoyable, but I have found rinsing it off again hard work. It makes my hair feel rough and tangly, which is quite surprising given it's liquid silk name! At first I thought that I had used too much, having been mislead by the fact it doesn't lather a huge amount. So I tried using half as much in one go, and I found that I still needed to rinse for longer than normal, and at the same time my hair did not feel clean having used the smaller amount. So I have settled on just taking more time to wash the shampoo out.
Once, I had sorted the rinsing, I found my hair easy to brush even on the odd occasion that I failed to use a conditioner at the same wash. My hair looked immediately smoother and felt clearly softer too. In fact, it definitely had more "bounce" and a healthier look overall. I was also very happy with how clean it felt. The shampoo dealt well with my greasy roots, in the short term but I still felt the need to wash my hair almost every day because it does get oily quickly whatever shampoo I use. The dry ends of my hair also looked better after a few washes - smoother and more tamed. What my hair didn't look though, was any shinier. I am happy to wait for a shampoo to take a while to build to a noticeable effect if necessary, but none was visible by the time I had finished the 250ml bottle. I think that is long enough to wait. I also could not see any evidence of my hair being any stronger or "repaired". Perhaps there would be if I looked at a shaft under the microscope but I need results I can see!
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT?
As a standard shampoo I am happy with this product. It cleans my hair, smells lovely, feels pleasant to use, and leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a shampoo to create a high shine finish as it did not work at all well in this regard for me. I was happy to finish the bottle, and I would also buy it again for everyday use, but for a hair repair miracle worker, it won't be my first choice. Should you wish to try it for yourself, the pound shops seem to be the most relaible stockists although I have seen it in some larger branches of Superdrug for around £1.99 a bottle.

**Introduction and reason for purchase**
On a recent trip to Superdrug for some shampoo, I noticed that there was a sale on selected items at less than half price with some of the Schwarzkopf Gliss range included in this offer. On my first visit whilst the sale was on I picked up a bottle of the shampoo, conditioner and the hair shine tonic though this review will focus entirely on my experience of using the shampoo..
**Price, packaging & availability**
Gliss shampoo comes housed in an attractive pink plastic bottle which starts off narrow at the base before dipping in slightly at the centre and gently tapering towards the neck where a large flip top lid is situated. The packaging is an opaque pale pink plastic, though the sticker depicting the logo on the front of the bottle has an equally attractive iridescent pearl quality which really catches the eye.
The bottle I purchased holds 250ml of liquid which as mentioned was purchased at my local Superdrug store where it normally retails for the value price of £1.88, though I picked this up in the half price sale paying just 94p which I deemed fantastic value.
Availability wise Gliss is quite a renowned brand and can be picked up from places such as Superdrug, Boots, Independent Chemists and large Supermarkets, as well as value shops such as Poundstretcher.
**What makes it special**
Gliss Liquid Silk Shampoo contains liquid keratin and prides itself on being at the forefront of 'liquid hair repair technology'. It promises to smooth and shine the hair as it contains elements of liquid silk and a gloss enhancer and works by specifically targeting and repairing damaged areas on the surface as well as deep inside the hair.
(This particular shampoo I am reviewing is for Brittle/ Dull Hair though I will just point out that I have used the different types in the range and have had the same effects and results each time though for reviewing purposes I feel it should be noted which hair type this is aimed at).
**My experience of using this shampoo**
I have to say that I have used this shampoo in the past but not for a lot of years now and why I stopped buying it I have no idea why. I think it came at a time when I discovered the delights of Aussie shampoo and matching products and so Gliss seemed to take a back seat, but after spotting the 250ml bottles at less than £1 then I knew the time had come to get reacquainted.
On opening the large rectangular flip top lid I was met with a beautiful floral aroma that at first reminded me slightly of Pantene. The fragrance is really pretty and very feminine and although there is no mention anywhere on the packaging it does have a strong hint of rose in my opinion and smells simply divine.
On tipping the bottle upside down I found the shampoo flowed with relative ease despite it's thick consistency and only a small squeeze of the bottle was enough to suffice a large sized blob to emit. The texture is very silky with the shampoo giving off a pretty pearl esque` shimmer to it's pale pink colouring and both looks and smells enticing and appealing.
I found that a blob the size of a 5 pence coin seemed adequate for my hair, which is just past my jaw in an inverted bob, and on applying to my wet hair in the shower it lathered up within seconds. The shampoo is a nice consistency being just thick enough for my own liking so it lathers up in a creamy mass of bubbles, which I prefer in a shampoo as opposed to thinner 'washing up liquid' consistencies which neither lather or cleanse. Gliss shampoo freshens up my hair and scalp at once and such a small amount of shampoo seems to go a long away making the purchase of this product a very economical one.
The shampoo rinses away under the tepid water of my shower just as easy as it lathers up and takes less than a minutes to fully rinses away all of the bubbles until the water starts to run clear. My hair always feels soft and slightly 'squeaky' clean when I have used this, which in the past with other shampoos has been a negative thing and has left my hair feeling dry and tangled upon drying so I was slightly apprehensive the first time I used this again as I didn't want my hair resembling that of a scarecrow.
I have used this in conjunction with both the matching conditioner as well as different branded conditioners and have had similar results each time. My hair is coloured these days and whilst it isn't overly dry I wouldn't risk not applying a conditioning treatment of some kind after it so the results of my usage of this product are also based on the final outcome after I have conditioned.
On towel drying my hair after both shampooing and conditioning I noticed that it felt very soft and almost 'slippy' as though there was a lair of film over it and I worried somewhat that it would look greasy on drying and styling. I had little to worry about it turns out as my hair dried 'normally' and felt soft and ultra smooth with the beautiful aroma still infused into each hair follicle which became apparent with the more I used my hair dryer whilst styling.
I actually really like this shampoo and I am still racking my brains as to why I stopped buying it many years ago and have just assumed as mentioned that I got swayed and seduced by the lures of Aussie. The shampoo however smells aromatic and a very small amount goes a long way, making it a cheap and cheerful purchase even at the full RRP of £1.98. I have a friend who buys this regularly from Pound stores though I rarely shop in any myself due to the fact the nearest is to me is 2 buses away so it wouldn't work out financially beneficial to do so but if they are stocked regularly at such stores then this product is well worth stocking up on.
I have read reviews about this shampoo saying it is no good and leaves hair still dirty and lank and greasy afterwards but I can only go on my own experience of using this shampoo and I have to say it's all been positive. Okay so it may not leave my hair quite as smooth as TREsemme or Aussie but for the price I paid I am more than happy with the results on my hair. It hasn't left it greasy (as I did first fear myself) or lank just clean, soft, smooth and smelling delicious with no flyaway strands so I really can't complain.
I would actually recommend this shampoo 100% as I am now onto the second bottle in as many few weeks and have nothing but praise for Gliss.
In 1898 Hans Schwarzkopf opened a small drugstore in Berlin. Then he comes with the first liquid shampoo in 1927. From that moment he develops more and more products such as perms, color creams, skin care and styling products. Schwarzkopf and Henkel produce hair care products. Worldwide they sell their products in over 125 countries. All these years the logo is barely changing.
I think the bottle of shampoo has a beautiful shape. He is comfortable in the hand and it has not a straightforward form. The upper side has the cap which has a soft cover purple color. Below you'll find a silver part with the notch to open the cap. On the front you will find the name and logo Schwarzkopf, you can see what kind of shampoo and what the shampoo can do for your hair. On the back you find the ingredients and information from the manufacturer.
The Shampoo you use course on wet or damp hair. I prefer my hair very wet, because I find that more comfortable with the massage and the ultimate effect is better. I've always felt that with a little less wet hair I get more tangled. I use a little shampoo and that's more than enough to wash the hair. The shampoo lather well and I let it just soak into my hair. After about a minute I rinse the shampoo out. This also goes with ease. And my hair feels soft and smooth after using this shampoo. I do not even use a conditioner after showering. Because my hair is easy to comb and feels soft and smooth.
I think overall this shampoo deserves four stars because the shampoo isn't the cheapest one out there. You can buy a 250 ml for 3,59 pounds.
I picked up a bottle of this a few weeks ago from the new Pound shop that opened up nearby to myself. I have used this brand of Haircare product in the past and found that it worked ok for me - not huge results, but from what I could remember it done alright. Still things have changed in the Haircare market and I thought that I would try this brand again - after all it was a good price for this.
This comes in a 250ml bottle and I paid £1 for it - surprising since I got this from Poundworld. I see this brand in Asda from time to time but it doesn't seem all that widely available thesedays.
This Shampoo can be used by all Hair types, but it is more aimed at people who are looking to add a bit more softness to their Hair I would say. My hair can be a tad dry I feel, so I thought this would make it nice and Soft.
The scent of this is nice. It is a kind of rich Moisturising smelling scent but not too strong. It smells nice and fresh as well, and after my Hair had been washed and dried then I could still smell this on my hair lightly. This is more of a Cream Shampoo and is a medium thickness and perhaps a touch runnier than what I am used to in a Shampoo. I was still able to apply this easy enough and this lathered up well on my Hair.
So how do I find this works? It is alright. I feel that this softens my Hair but I find that when I have been using this every time I wash my Hair then it seems to be a bit dry. It does seem to start to soften but it's like on a continuous use then this starts to make my Hair a bit more frizzy feeling. So I have taken to use this every few washes.
This is an ok Shampoo and a good price. This may be better for other people's Hair (I have Greasy Hair which has a bit Frizz to it) but I just find this alright.
Gliss Liquid silk shampoo and conditioner retail at between £1.50 and £2.50 although you can sometimes find this product(s) in the pound shops so thats cheap.
I have tried a many shampoos, conditioners and so on looking for the right product for my long, normal thickness hair. Plus I like to vary the shampoos I use every now and again. Anyway, this shampoo (and conditioner too) doesn't really clean my hair at all, it gets greasy very soon and even feels a little greasy as soon as I have washed my hair.
Not good, but the really bad thing is that it is one of the very few shampoos that actually make my hair look really dull which is a funny coincidence considering that its meant to make it shiny.
After trying five times on my head I gave up to use it for my hair.
I actually use this product to wash my makeup brushes in now and find that it makes them really nice and soft and fluffy after haha. So atleast its good for one thing I suppose!!
==Schwarzkopt Gliss Shampoo==
I have really quiet fine hair although it is wavy and I more often than not tease it into lovely curls with the help of lots of the right products and a bit of work. So with this in mind I am quite particular about which brand of shampoo and conditioner I usually use and for ages I have stuck to buying Pantene which I find is the best all round product which really does make my hair feel and look great.
However last time I was in need of a bottle of shampoo it seemed that all the large Pantene bottles were too expensive and even Poundland didn't have any of the smaller bottles. So at a push I had to buy another brand and this one seemed to appeal to me so I picked it up and gave it a go.
I can't say I have really seen it in many places apart from Poundland where I purchased it from but having said that I don't usually look for anything other than Pantene so I could be wrong on this. For £1 though you get a nice sized 250 ml bottle which is a light pink in colour and has a lot of silver detail to it giving it an overall nice appearance.
The claims on the bottle is that the shampoo is a "hair repair" treatment and which will make hair as smooth as silk and is perfect for brittle, dull hair. Apparently the shampoo repairs inside the hair cell which sounds totally amazing and possible a little far fetched. Not only is the shampoo a restoring one but it is also claiming to give up to 130% more shine to the hair and this is something I am always trying to achieve.
The product inside the bottle is pretty much what I had been expecting as the shampoo itself is a light candy pink colour with iridescent glittery type particles embedded inside. The shampoo is a thick and creamy type shampoo and has a very nice clean and rather feminine smell to it. I must say that the smell was one thing that was really nice about this product as it was not only very appealing but also really quite strong and even more so once the product was poured from the bottle and massaged into the hair.
Using the product works just the same as any other shampoo and it is best used on very wet hair and a small amount is needed. I am quite bad in the fact that I will often use far more of the product than is really needed so I have to be careful that I only try to use a 50 pence piece sized dollop which is generally more than enough to clean the hair. However on my first few attempts with this product I did as I usually do and used way too much which wasn't a good thing. It did lather up well and that lovely smell filled the bathroom quickly and I found it easy to move around all of my head of hair without too much trouble and although I had used a lot there wasn't a mountain of excessive bubbles.
The feeling of the shampoo in my hair was really nice and it seemed to do a really good job at covering all my mid length hair and it also rinsed out fairly easy too. As far as the whole washing side of this shampoo goes it felt really nice and seemed to work really well. On rinsing my hair it felt very silky and smooth and I didn't feel I needed to use conditioner at all.
I first started to notice the bad result when I was drying my hair with the hair dryer as it seemed to be a lot thicker feeling that usual and it seemed as though there was a layer of product left on my hair when I know that all of the bubbles and product was well washed out without a trace left. I was really thankful that I didn't use conditioner because my hair had a slight heaviness to it that had I used conditioner probably would have made it appear greasy and not washed.
I can't say that my hair felt that nice after using this shampoo even on the subsequent washes where I have made sure not to use too much of the product and still not used conditioner. It did seem to appear shinier but this may ave been the coating of product that seemed to be left behind on my hair which I really didn't like. I found that my hair felt like it needed washing the very next day after using this where with Pantene I can usually get away with a couple of days if not more with it still looking fresh and nice.
The condition of my hair really didn't seem to be greatly improved and I felt that because of the fineness of my hair this product didn't help much and if anything made it feel and look thinner especially if I opted for the straight style rather than the curls. The curls didn't really hold for as long as they would do as well so this was another downside to this particular shampoo.
On the whole I really don't think this particular shampoo agreed with my hair in the slightest. I have tried and tried to use the bottle up but I can't say it makes me feel like my hair it looking at its best. The costing that is left after using it is not nice at all and this makes the hair heavier and appear greasier quickly. It does however have a nice smell and make the hair appear slightly shiny. I think for the first reasons I can't rate this shampoo very highly and I probably won't be buying it again. Perhaps it would suit another type of hair that was thicker and prone to frizzing but seeing as mine is neither of these things it really didn't work for me.
For that reason I feel a poor score of 2 out of 5 stars is all that I can personally give. The two marks really just because it was cheap, smelt nice and did give a shine. It was however worth trying for £1 and I wouldn't completely write it off for people with different hair to mine.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
