Advantages: Sprays on well, don't need too much. Held style well all day.

Disadvantages: Smells a bit funny at first. Not much really!

I bought a bottle of this the other day because I often straighten my hair and Schwarzkopf heat protection products have been recommended to me by friends, also the price seemed quite reasonable (I paid £2.79 for a 200ml bottle).

I have long, layered hair, about half way down my back at it's longest. I used the spray after washing then towel-drying my hair. It sprayed on quite well and it was easy to get good coverage, without the need to use too much of it. I then blowdried my hair and straightened it. Before I used the straighteners, I noticed that there was less wave in my hair than usual after blowdrying and the straighteners were only needed to smooth it out a bit, mainly the ends. It was easy to straighten with this product on, and it has stayed in place and very straight all day, more than usual.

My hair feels quite soft and smooth too - this is due to my conditioner but this product has not made my hair feel at all sticky, stiff or greasy. The smell of the straightening spray is a bit odd, but not very strong and after drying and straightening I can't smell it on my hair at all, I can smell my conditioner.

I have not tried it on dry hair before straightening because sometimes I do not need to straighten my hair after blowdrying as it is quite naturally straight, if I have used the right products! I think this is one that helps.
