Advantages: Bright, Even Colour. Easy to use.

Disadvantages: Slightly messy.

Schwarzkopf have always been the brand of hair dye that I choose to use. I personally use their platinum blonde shades, although have now gone darker. I bought a red shade of this new foam product from Schwarzkopf though to use on my sister's hair. I have always found that Schwarzkopf dyes give me the best colour and I always recommend them to friends and family. My only negative about the brand's dyes overall is that I often find they work much better on light hair than dark, on which the colour will still take, but not be as bright.

I bought this particular product in Red Berry Passion as my sister had been dying to go bright red but didn't think she'd find a dye that would achieve what she wanted. As it was on offer at £3.99, we thought it was well worth a try. (and I secretly just wanted to see how the foam worked!)

Packaging -
The product comes in a pot made of card with a domed shape lid. You can not fail to recognise it in the store because Schwarzkopf have a very particular look - over enthusiastic people with very brightly coloured hair! In the pot you will find a powder sachet, the bottle with liquid in, instructions, gloves and some conditioner (which smells lovely!)

Use -
Before applying the dye, you add both the liquid from the bottle and the powder from the sachet to the pot, replace the lid and shake it! I recommend shaking it continuously for about a minute to make sure it's all mixed up. Remember to put on the gloves provided before you apply the colour - I made the mistake of thinking I didn't need them and ended up with bright red hands! Simply take some of the foam and apply it straight to the hair, making sure to work it through the entire lengths of the hair, but do not rub it into your scalp!! You do get quite a lot of foam and it easily covered a head of hair with average thickness that in length is half way between chin and shoulder length. We left the dye in for just over 30 minutes and then washed it off, using the little tube of conditioner on her hair for a couple of minutes - which made it extra soft and glossy!!

Result -
The colour was even all over, no sign of any patches or strands where the colour hadn't taken. It came out just how we wanted it to - a lovely bright red which was super shiny! The hair also looked much healthier as it was very glossy. Very happy with the overall ease, look and colour of the dye!

Tips -
+ Be careful when washing it out - it will colour every part of your bathroom if you make a mess.
+ Always use the gloves provided
+ As with any dye, it is a good tip to apply vaseline around your hairline so that the dye doesn't stain your skin.

Would definitely recommend this product for anyone wanting to dye their hair a lovely bright colour!

Summary: Very good product, easy to use but a little messy. Would definitely recommend!
