As somebody who colours their hair on a regular basis, I'm constantly looking for and trying new products. I used the black dye in this range, as it was on an introductory offer in boots when it first came out. I paid around £3 for the dye which I thought was fantastic for a branded color and was even more impressed once I had ... Read the complete review

Last weekend I had a little time to myself, and one of the things that I decided to do was treat my self and get my hair cut and styled. While talking to the hair dresser she said that red hair was really on trend at the minute, and that it would really suit me. I have got naturally dark brown hair and had been wanting a ... I would not wish for my worst enemy to have to use this hair dye. My first issue with the dye is that it is extremely messy. I honestly cannot fathom why it has been designed as a foam that you have to scoop out yourself rather than have it come out of a bottle. It just got everywhere and stained everything - bathroom, skin, ... Read the complete review

I have long, thick hair, and my best friends mum is always fiddling with it and says she has hair envy! About a year ago, she was looking and asked if I had considered dying it purple. At the time my hair was a boring brown, and I am usually someone who likes bright and bold colours on my hair. The next day, she turned up with a purple ... Read the complete review

All I can say is that I wish that I'd read the negative reviews on here first! The title says it all really, and I can safely say that I won't be buying this hair dye ever again. I would have given it zero stars if that was possible, but the minimum rating DooYoo will let you give is one star - maybe they should look into ... Read the complete review

Schwarzkopf have always been the brand of hair dye that I choose to use. I personally use their platinum blonde shades, although have now gone darker. I bought a red shade of this new foam product from Schwarzkopf though to use on my sister's hair. I have always found that Schwarzkopf dyes give me the best colour and I always recommend ... When dying my hair red a few years ago XXL was my first choice, it worked back then when I was 15, but none of these red colours work or stay as vibrant for long, however I bought this dye to dye my younger brothers hair red, After bleaching his hair white I expected the red colour to be bright and vibrant. I was drawn to this because of the interesting and unique packaging and I also liked the shake it up foam idea. I tried this in a purple shade and followed the instructions as on the leaflet/pack, I found it hard to shake properly and there were bits of powder at the bottom unmixed that i discovered at the end, I applied it and left ... I have previously used the live colour xxl colouring cream. I had problems as it still leaks colour 4 weeks after application. So, I decided to give the foam a try instead. Never will I use it again. There are far far better foam colourants on the Market and you get what you pay for. I followed the instructions and was assured that my hair would be a dark cherry red. After getting half way down the container, I discovered a grainy 'slush' of unmixed colour that was unusable. My hair was more 'henna' red than dark cherry red and even after 6 washes the colour was still washing out. What a total waste of money. I went straight to the pharmacy and bought another foam colour which did the job. Live colour xxl did not do what it said on the box!

I decided to try this as it was on offer for £3.99 in Superdrug, the usual price being £5.99. I have used this hair dye a total of five times now. Ok, my friend brought this product, and asked me to apply it for her. I did exactly what the instruction said and it never mixed. Shock it come more still wasn't mixed but when it was applied to the hair it dripped everywhere and after washing was very patchy. I am a hair dresser and I LOVE Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL, but this stuff was rubbish. I much prefer a mixing bowl and brush!
