Professional looking colour but cheaper! (Schwarzkopf Live)

Advantages: Cheap, natural and professional looking, range of colours.

Disadvantages: Could be tricky if your doing it by yourself.

I've been dying my hair since about 13 years old, and have had many colours (brown, red, pink and blue), so my poor hair has suffered quite a lot in the past. And yet, I still dye my hair blonde regularly, so I need a product that dyes my hair well, the dye stays for a while but also that the dye doesn't damage my hair a huge amount. So about a year ago, I tried Schwarzkopf hair dye, in blonde, which was the best colour which I wanted for my hair.

Firstly, the instructions were easy to read and understand, which made the mixing of the products easy and not messy, which was a great way to start. The actual application of the product was fairly easy, no real problems in my experience, with the little top, it makes it easy to get as much hair dye as you want out of the tube, instead of using a lot at a time. Some recommendations I would use are; you dye your hair in sections as it helps get a much even colour, also do the root first, as they are generally darker then the rest of your hair and lastly have towels of the floor and around your clothes, and the dye can damage clothes easily, and unfortunately I've had a lot of experience in damaging clothes!

The results are the most important thing, so after washing the excess of the dye out and using abit of the conditioner, which was great, it made my hair lovely and soft and it smelt really nice, also it lasted for another 7 washes. The results were just as I wanted, an even colour all over my hair but it looked very natural, which is what I was aiming for. But also my hair looked full of life and not damaged, which was a real positive, I was very happy with the results. But another tip, if your not confident with doing your own hair, especially the back of the head, get someone else to help, it would be very noticeable if you get bad results from hair dye.

I got this product in an offer at Boots, but usually the product costs around £4-£6, so it's well worth giving it a try, it's so much cheaper then professional hair dye treatments.
