I've got purple hair! (Schwarzkopf Live)

I have been dying my hair a really awesome purple colour for a couple of years now and I use 'Live Colour XXL' by Swarzkopf which costs $4.69 full price and I need two as my hair is long.

The first thing to know when using a hair dye is to do a sensitivity test 48 hours before you use the whole lot on your head, plus also stop using it if you have a reaction.

All these products comes with clear instructions so you should follow them as there are dangerous chemicals in these things so they need to be used properly...

Also make sure you prepare everything beforehand if like me you are not allowed out of the bathroom one the stuff is on, lol!

My dye comes in a bright blue box and says this colour has been waterproofed 'with built-in wash-out colour protection' which is cool but you have to remember with a strong colour like this it's not going to last very long if you wash it regularly so try and use colour fade protection shampoos/conditioners as well...

The kit comes with gloves, a tube of Live Colour crème, bottle developer lotion, Live Colour conditioner tube and the instruction leaflet of course.

Apply the dye to unwashed dry hair after mixing the crème and colour on the proved bottle, then start the application. If it's the first time you've coloured your hair with the shade you have chosen you need to put on the entire bottle form the roots to the tips then massage in and leave for 30 minutes.

If it's a re-application then you just apply 2/3 of the contents to the re-growth area and then massage in then leave to develop for 20/30 mins then mix the rest of the colour on and then leave for another 5/10 mins.

After adding a little warm water work into a lather and then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear...

Put the conditioner on and leave for two mins, rinse again and them style as usual.

Swarzkopf says your hair should be supple and shiny and soft and that you are left with 'trendy, intense colour' which it is!

I think this is a brilliant product for people like me who want an intense colour that lasts as long as possible. I have tried allsorts of other brands which are cheaper but the shade just doesn't last the same...

Five stars for Live Colour XXL as its awesome stuff that always takes well on my hair and leave s it looking sleek and really well conditioned and I have never had a bad reaction from it! :)
