great colour and lastability for a cheap price (Schwarzkopf Live)

Advantages: great colours which last Disadvantages: faff and mess of dying your own hair I have been colouring my hair on and off for years and I have to say this product schwarzkopf live hair colour is by far my favourite; to the point where I rarely use anything else. It costs around £4.50 and is avaliable from most chemists/supermarkets. For that you get the usual colour, developer, conditioner, gloves and instructions. As with all hair dyes you MUST read the instructions thoughrley and do a patch test at least 24 hours in advance. There are a variety of fabulous colours from standard browns and blondes to bright reds and purples. I have used sereval brown, red and purple shades. The instructions are easy to follow but be warned as with all home dying it can get everywhere if you are not careful, so use old clothes, towels and clean spills immediatly. Covering your hair with the dye will depend on who's doing it and there competance but generally as stated on the box, one box for short hair and two for long or thick hair. After your alotted wait time, washing the colour out does take a long time the colour seems to run forever (but its worth it!) and the conditiner is great, pity you can't buy it on its own. The colours last a lot longer than most other brands and also stay very viberant, even my hairdresser said they were great colours! I think if you can deal with the potential mess and make the effort it is a great cheap alternative to exprensive hairdressing dyes. Summary: great hair dye which lasts and is cheaper than expensive hairdressers |
