Advantages: can be very bright, wide range of different colours
Disadvantages: none
I first tried this hair dye about three years ago. I had tried many different hair dyes in the past but as I have got thich hair then you couldnt really tell that I had dyed it. This particular hair dye had been advertised on TV loads of times so thought I would try it in ruby red. I cant remember how much it was then but now I buy it from our local Morrisons supermarket for £3:69. It is about the same price in superdrug and Savers and I have seen it in Asdas for around £4:50. Many different shops sell it, the ones I have already mentioned plus most other supermarkets, chemists etc. There is also many different colours ranging from reds, browns, blondes etc. It comes in a box complete with everything you need. You get: 40ml bottle of colour gel 50ml bottle of developer 22.5ml tube of conditioner 1 pair of gloves full instructions The only down fall I find is that when I originally started to buy it then I had short hair, now that it is longer and it is thick I find that there is not enough so I have to buy two. The instructions are easy to follow, the colour gel comes in a glass bottle, you take unscrew the lid and screw it underneath the developer bottle until it clicks and locks. Shake them until the colour has mixed with the developer. I have found that when you have shaken the bottles and they have mixed then the colour is a pinky orange. There is a chemical smell but nothing too strong and it doesnt sting or effect my eyes and it is also easy to wash off skin. You need to wet your hair but no need to use shampoo as there is shampoo in the dye. Next you apply it to your hair evenly. I usually get Andy to do this for me as it can be difficult to make sure you have got it everywhere. (Make sure you are wearing an old t shirt and have got a towel on your shoulders as it can be messy!). Leave it on for about half an hour and then rinse it off. Once all the dye is out of your hair then use the
conditioner. I find with this product you easily get enough conditioner where as some other hair dyes you only get a tiny little bit. Leave it on for a few minutes then rinse. If you are not sure how it will turn out, there is a rough guide on the box. The lighter your hair is then the better it will turn out.
