You know the way your hair feels and looks after you've been to the hairdresser's? Smooth, shiny, soft, frizz free... You try and try but you can never get the same results at home, and you wonder, what do they use?
Well, that was exactly me four years ago. Until one day, I realized they always used the same product right after straightening my hair. I asked my hairdresser what it was and it turned out it was this little lovely serum. Of course, before I could even question the integrity of buying a £20 small bottle of serum, I was happily going home with it in my hand and a chastising look from my wallet. And boy am I glad I did that!
The packaging: it's a silver bottle with a pump that works perfectly, you can pump it half-way, a quarter of the way... whatever your heart desires. The only downside is the clear cap that goes over the pump, which is really flimsy. It flies everywhere and, after a while, mine broke. This is really annoying when you're trying to pack it into an already full bag, because the pump can pump itself.
The bottle contains 50 ml of product. I know, tiny right? But worry not! A drop of this will do your whole head of hair (really, don't apply any more, it's not necessary and it may make your hair greasy). If used right, this lasts about one to two years, depending on how often you use it. Mine lasted a little more than three, but I only straighten my hair once a month.
My experience: After straightening my hair, I usually put about a drop of it (it's a cream texture but, basically, the smallest amount you can get out of it) on the palm of my hand and then rub my hands together to warm it up, which is how my hairdresser said to use it. Then, I smooth it all over my hair, working from bottom to top and stopping at about 1 inch from my parting. Then I run my fingers through my hair and try to coat every strand with the product.
Saying that this product is a miracle worker is an understatement. After I'm finished my hair feels soft, it's shiny and most importantly, 100% frizz free. You would think that putting it so close to your roots would make it greasy. For me, it doesn't do that at all. Trur, I have really dry hair, but if I put things close to my roots even I will look like I dumped a bucket of oil on my hair.
Something extra that this product does, is it prolongs the life of your hairsfyle. I know that from experience, trust me. One day I was doing my hair in a rush and I forgot to put this in. It looked fine after I finished but, the following day, I remember looking in the mirror and thinking "What is wrong with my hair? It looks messy and frizzy! And I have kinks!". Since then, never do I ever skip this step.
I haven't tried using this on days that I leave my hair natural and I'm now just thinking that it would be a great idea, as I have quite a lot of frizz. Anyways, I can't imagine the result would be anything but great.
Where to get it: I bought it at my hairdresser's, so I suppose you can ask yours. But, if they don't have it there, I've seen it on Amazon and a few online shops - and for much cheaper!
My veredict: If you usually straighten your hair, you NEED this in your life. I'm telling you it will bring your hair from "It looks good" to "Did you go to a salon?". It is quite pricey but a little goes a long way and it's absolutely worth the price. If you're sick of frizz and your style never lasts, give this a go, you won't regret it!
it makes my hair soft and shiny.definitely anti-frizz in the truest sense, hair appears more glossy and shinier than ever!the price is real good too,its a real bargain and this product really does what it's supposed to.i just use a tiny dollop, warm it between my hands and rub it at the frizzy ends of my dry hair.voila!all set and ready to face the world!
This is not an illusion itÊs simply magic / Use on dry hair / Apply a small amount onto fingertips and massage into hands before you smooth away the frizz / Frizz disappears and high gloss turns up / No more frizzy dry looking hair but dazzling shine for the glam look /
