Advantages: Great colour choices, easy to apply, gives lovely shiny results!
Disadvantages: Doesn't smell great when applying it
Often I dye my hair and at the moment my chosen colour is red. I have been using Live Colour XXL from this same brand and have been really happy with the results I have got from it however the other day I was out shopping and decided to give this a go as not only did I like the colour shown on the box but the price of it was only £2.49 and I thought that was really cheap from a brand I know and trust!
The box is pink and white colour with a photograph of a woman with red hair on the front of it and the top of it the colour is shown and we are told that it is a permanent colour and is colour code 678 and Ruby Red. Along with the photograph of the front of it we are told that it is indeed Schwarzkopf Palette Intensive Cream Colour and that it is 'Rich, long-lasting colour, is nourishing care and gives intense shine and that it is perfect for grey coverage'. Other information on the box includes being told a bit about the product and there is a colour chart shown to let you know what colour from your own shade this should turn out and the contents of the box are listed, we are shown how to use it by diagrams and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Nice enough, informative packaging this is and inside there is a large pamphlet giving really the same information as on the box.
Well in the box you get a 50ml of both the colour cream in a tube and 50ml in an applicator bottle style of the developing lotion and all you do is pop the contents of the tube into the applicator bottle, give it all a really good shake and then don the plastic 'one size fits all' gloves on and apply it all over the hair. It goes on pink in this case and then once applied goes a rich ruby red colour. Although I have short and thin hair I did use all of the solution up so if you have long hair I would suggest you purchasing a couple of boxes to make sure you have enough.
I leave this on my hair for 30 minutes as recommended but you can use this for root colour touch up too if you want to for about the same time.
It takes an age to run clear when rinsing it out of the hair and even then when you wash your hair after using this a day or so later, its still washed out and takes a good couple of washes to stop eventually doing this though it takes nothing away from the colour you first achieve.
After rinsing it through you get a large sachet of thick fruity smelling hair mask and you simply have to apply this all over the hair and leave it for about 2 minutes and it gently moisturises the hair without making it greasy or anything adverse like that.
Apart from the fact that it does wash out of the hair even after a couple of days of using it I really do rate this hair dye very well indeed. I found no staining on my head or skin after using this even though I didn't make sure there was none on my skin, I just rubbed it clean off although it did stick to my scalp until the next time I washed it but that wasn't a massive deal.
The colour is really vibrant and rich and I love it. Although my hair was fairly dark when I applied it for the first time it still managed to brighten it and not damage my hair at all and I rate it really highly on every level. It hasn't faded over the past couple of weeks at all and I love it!
Available in all good chemists and discount stores etc.

Summary: A great hair colour that really is highly colour pigmented!
