Advantages: Covers all grey hairs and leaves your hair silky and shiny!
Disadvantages: None
To write this review I will have to let you into my secret as I have discovered the dreaded GREY hair coming through! ( Surely I can't have any I'm not old enough!). Well after the dreaded shock it was time to get them covered and gone forever, this was some years ago I must add!
Well I wanted something that was as near to my hair colour as possible and not to expensive as going to the hairdressers every month was out of the question with the prices they charge !
When I spotted this on the shelf I thought it looked like what I was looking for, but it was so cheap I didn't think it would be any good. At £1.98 in Savers I thought well if it's no good I haven't lost much money, I know that Schwarzkopf have been around for quite a while ( 111 years in fact, I was
shocked when I read that online !) .
The red box is quite striking with a bit of a cheesey picture on the front. It is security protected across the top and front which is good as you know that
all the contents should be intact when you get it home. On opening the box you will find a folded instruction leaflet with disposable gloves attached, with a plastic bottle containing the creme developer and a tube which contains colour you have chosen. In my case I went for the Warm Brown 38
This is a permanent cream colour.
You need to put the gloves on first as it will stain your hands if not used ,
then unscrew the nozzle on the creme developer and pierce the lid on the tube(just reverse the lid on the tube and push it on and it will pierce it!).
Next squeeze all of the contents of the tube into the developer replace lid
and shake like mad to mix the two! Now you can begin!!
It goes on the hair really easy and covers straight away, you are supposed
to leave it on for 20-25 minutes, but I do tend to leave it on a bit longer about 40 mins. You then have to apply warm water to your hair and work it into a lather, then rinse until water is clear. You can then go on to shampoo
and condition your lovely grey free hair. My hair always has a lovely soft feel
to it afterwards and a great shine (that could be down to my final rinse being done in very cold water!).
I'm not sure how many different shades there are as it does not say anywhere on the packaging or leaflet. Being that mine is number 38 I don't
know if there are that many! It definitely does the job really well and I would not use any other products than this. I suppose I was really lucky to
get the right one first time, as there are so many in the shops its a nightmare trying to discover what one is best for you!
I would recommend this to anyone who like me wants to get rid of the evidence of GREY HAIRS!
Summary: A very good hair dye at such a low low price . It's great value!
