Schwarzkopf Poly Color Tint
Advantages: £2 A DYE, EASY TO APPLY
This week I decided I wanted to dye my hair before going on holidays next week. I have been a vibrant red colour for the last year. But as I am so dark naturally I was finding it hard to maintain. Therefore I decided I was going to go return to my more natural colour black.
I visited my local tesco and was quite impressed with the amount of dyes and tints on offer. However I noticed that this schwarkopf poly colour range was a staggering £2 in price. I have used poly colour in the past so knew that it would do the job well. So I dumped my usual live colour and settled with the poly colour.
When I got home I was quite excited to give this product a try. Inside the box there is the actual dye, the neutraliser, a pair of gloves and a instruction leaflet. The leaflet is very comprehensive and gives easy to follow instructions on the application process.
What I like about poly colour is it's simplicity. You just put the colour creme into the neutralser bottle, shake and then apply to dry unwashed hair. The dye itself is quite creamy in consistency. It is very easy to work with and spreads into the hair well. I have short hair and therefore found that there was more than enough dye to cover my hair. I would think though, that if you have long hair you may require two bottles.
When applying I was impressed with the lack of mess this product made on my surrounding skin. Because the dye is black I noted that I had some black dye on my forehead and ears. But this dye came of these areas easily with soap and water.
The development time is between 20 to 30 minutes. I left mine on for 25. When I rinsed my hair, I was suprised at how silky soft my hair felt. As though I had recieved a hair treatment.
I was very impressed with the overall cover. My hair is not only a lovely shade of raven black but it also has a great shine to it. I was also really pleased because the coverage this colour gives is totally as proffesional as when I have had colours in the hairdressers. This is so impressive considering that the retail price of this dye is only £2.
There is quite a lot of variety in terms of shades in this collection. If you are blonde, red or dark haired there is something that will suit your needs.
What impressed me the most about this product is the fact that it is very gentle. When I apply dye usually I have a burning sensation on my head. But this poly dye was so gentle and non harsh. I felt no stinging or irritation to my scalp when applying this colour. The scent of this dye is much more pleasing also because it didn't have a strong overpowering smell of amonia which other dyes seem to have.
I would very much advise anyone to use this poly colour range. It is not only dirt cheap but it is also very effective. I am thrilled with my new hair colour. I have had lots of compliments. Which further proves that this poly colour range is a winner!!
