To be honest I bought this shampoo because it was in my local Savers and it was one of the only kids shampoos they offered. I always use kids shampoos on my little girl's hair but don't really pay attention to which brand I am using as they all seem to do roughly the same job.
The Schwarzkopf kids Supersoft 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner advises on the bottle that it has a strawberry and milk scent and it does have a pleasant sweet smell, although not neccesarily what you might expect strawberries and milk to smell like but then these products rarely do smell accurately of what they say they will. Anyway, the smell is pleasant and is not overpowering or sickly as I have found some childrens products fragrances to be.
The shampoo offers a no tears promise which I would have to say it delivers. My daughter does not like having her hair washed regardless of which product I use and fidgets alot so sometimes the product does accidently find it's way into her eyes. Ordinarily she would scream and tell me it hurts while screwing her eyes shut. With this shampoo though, the shampoo has gotten into her eyes and she just blinks a couple of times and carries on with her usual whinging rather than screaming.
The shampoo also offers a no tangles promise. Now, I have to say that this has not worked with my daughters hair, however, my daughter has fine fly away hair with a slight curl, she also doesn't particularly like having it tied back so food, drink and all manner of other toddler related goo finds its way into her hair on a daily basis making her hair even tanglier. I actually haven't found a shampoo that can deliver on the no tangles promise with my daughter's hair and usually resort to using copious amounts of detangling spray and combing it as gently as possible. Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that although the no tangles formula does not work on my daughter's hair, she is a bit of an extreme case and it does not mean that it does not work on everybody else.
The shampoo has a red runny gel like consistency and lathers well into the hair. The smurfs on the bottle make it more fun and make it slightly easier to wash a reluctant toddler's hair. My daughter's hair also has a nice shine when we have used this product.
"Schwarzkopf Kids Supersoft 2in1 Shampoo & Conditioner" The best shampoo I have found for my daughter's hair!
As all girls she always moans or cries whenever I brush her hair, this shampoo has put a stop to that unless shes got food or drink in it!
I have used cheap brands, Johnsons baby shampoo and Loreal and nothing was good enough for her hair. She has fine hair and lots of it, it always looked tatty and the shampoo's I tried didn't do anything. I always had to put my aussi three minute repair on as it always felt so dry after I washed it. I also used detangling sprays to prevent hurting her when I brushed her hair.
However when I was in Tesco's a while back I realised I hadn't tried the Schwarzkopf shampoo 250ml for £1.75. It says on the back of the product mild formulation, easier to comb, double anti-tear effect, with intensive care vitamin and skin friendly pH. So I immediatley thought this sounds great!
When I tried it on her later that day I couldn't believe I was struggling all that time!
You need the size of a peas worth as it goes along way! It foams up beautifully, cleanses the hair thoroughly and washes out really well.
When I brushed her hair straight after her wash, I was pleasantly surprised not to hear a word from her and I didn't even use a detangler spray.
When her hair dried it looked so gorgous and glossy and full of life, which it should at four but never did!
I comes in two scents strawberry and milk and tropical fruit. Tropical fruit has us hooked and this is the only one we have tried as it smells so good we don't want to change! Her hair has definetly strenghtened too.
The "Tropical Fruit" comes in a orange bottle with a yellow flip lid and the "Strawberry and Milk" comes in a red bottle with a blue flip lid and both bottles have little blue smurfs on the front. The flip lid is easy and useful, as you don't have enough hands as it is when your bathing your baby or child.
They do sell a detangler spray too which I have never had to try and don't even use the brands I have got now due to this fantastic product.
I give this product five out five its excellent and affordable.
I brought this Kids shampoo and conditioner for a change from my usual brand and am pleasantly surprised by the results.
I was orginally attracted to it's brightly coloured bottle with it's orange bottle and yellow lid with pictures of smurfs on, It pleases the youngest child.
After having a good sniff of the two scents on offer I plumped for the Tropical fruit scent.
The Shampoo smells very nice with heavy overtones of mango's and orange's.
The shampoo liquid is an orange colour and a good consitancy.
The other scent on offer was a berry smell which all though nice not quite as good as this one.
The bottle list's the following info
* The mild formulation throughly cleanses hair
* Hair is easier to comb
* With doulbe anti tear effect
1 - no tears while washing.
2 - no tears while combing.
* With a intensive care-vitamin complex
* Skin friendly pH
Directions for use: Massage gently into wet hair. Rinse throughly. For best results use regularly with the supersoft kids detangling spray.
The shampoo lathers well and only a small amount is needed for long hair.
The scent lingers on hair very well and makes it very soft to touch.
I brought it for 89p and that's half of what I usually spend on this type of product. I will be buying this again.
I would recommend this shampoo to other mums.
So to sum this shampoo up...
* excellent product
* excellent price
I have recently started using a new 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner from schwarzkoft.
I have often had trouble with my boys not washing there hair for one thing or another but mainly because it stings there eyes, but i have found one that's saved the day it's got everything anti-tear, anti-tangle and it smells fantastic strewberry and milk the boys love it no more crying or moaning.
It's easy to use and you don't need alot apply to wet hair, massage it in and rinse, in and out in 5 minutes so they can carry on playing.
I have also used it as bubble bath although it doesn't say it's for that it works well and saves a few pennies.
It comes in a really cute colourful bottle about 250ml, reasonably cheap and easy to come by most local supermarkets will have it .
This one definitely gets the two tthumbs up from me and would be highly recommended to every parent.
