      Advantages

      Disadvantages

a good shampoo but have tried better

I thought I had bagged a real bargain when I spotted a load of brand new, well-in-date hair products in a car boot sale recently and paid only 50p for this bottle of Pomegranate shampoo knowing it normally sells for £1.49 for the good sized 400 ml size. However, it did not appear to be such a bargain when I used it and certainly will not be re-purchasing - even for 50p I'm afraid.

It looked promising as the bottle is very attractive with a lovely picture of juicy pomegranates on the front and the claim that it contains organic extracts. I am informed that the shampoo is 'for all hair types' too which is good. On the reverse of the bottle it gives plenty of information under the following headings - 'nutrition for hair' and 'gentle care for strong hair' plus directions for use, a whole list of ingredients and the usual cautions. Rather than list these I will concentrate on my opinions about the shampoo.

On the plus side it has a lovely smell - sort of pomegranatey but with another smell which is fruity and very pleasant as well as being quite strong. The smell lasted quite some time after rinsing, drying and then straightening my hair. The other plus was the fact that the shampoo itself is quite thick and creamy so you do not really use a whole lot of the product even with long hair. It lathers quite well yet rinses out easily enough without leaving the hair feeling heavy (as some conditioners do) and there was no residue left on the hair.

However, although my hair felt soft and looked OK, it looked nowhere near as shiny as it does with other shampoos so I was disappointed with the overall results. I also noticed the mornings after having used it my hair it looked flatter than usual and had less bounce and volume than I am used to when using others.

On balance I have to say this is a nice enough product to use but I DO miss the shine so will not be buying again. For this and other reasons given in my review I unfortunately can only award a 3 star rating.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

I would recommend this shampoo :- Unique fragrance, Deep cleansing, Applies to all hair types

When opening the click up lid, not only is this a user friendly design - that doesn't drip and make a mess, but simultaneously a lovely, fruity pomegranate scent leaves the bottle. As I poured out the natural looking, clear liquid onto my hair and scalp I found that this lathered up very easily and evenly, which is an important factor with any shampoo product; especially with fairly long or thick hair. After rinsing from the roots to the ends, there wasn't a feeling of unevenness or a tacky coated residue. This product left my hair feeling clean, fruity scented and refreshed.
I have afro, medium length hair, which is naturally dry, thick and coarse. This 400ml size is very ample, for even the longest/thickest of hair - approximately four washes per bottle. So you get a fair amount for your buck, as they say.
The label at the very bottom states that this shampoo is for all hair types.
