... Shampoo. I do feel that my hair really needs constant repairing and whilst I am not overly fond of the smell of coconuts in beauty or hair care products, I decided to give this shampoo a try as it was only 59p for this huge sized bottle.
The first thing I noticed about this shampoo is that it really does have a terrific smell of coconuts. Just as soon as I flipped back the top of the bottle I was immediately hit with the overwhelming smell of a very natural coconut fragrance. I am currently really enjoying trying out a lot of the old ranges of various shampoos and conditioners at our newly opened Wilkinson's shop. I am sure a lot of the stuff in there is reduced because it is old stock but it doesn't stop me from trying them out, I don't really think it matters too much how old a bottle of shampoo or conditioner is, it's still going to work at the end of the day. As I have started to have my hair lighted over the past year or so, I have found that my roots now seem to be more greasy than ever whilst the ends of my hair can be quite dry and brittle. As mentioned in previous reviews, I am generally not loyal to one particular brand when it comes to shampoo as I think it is good for your hair to give it a change now and again. I tend to stick to quality brands such as Dove when it comes to shampoo but I was quite taken with Schwarzkopfs Repair & Care Coconut Shampoo. I quite fancied this one as my hair always needs repairing, especially at the ends and obviously I want my hair to be cared for so this claimed to give me everything I need from a shampoo, but the main reason I wanted to try it was because it was coconut, and I just love the smell of coconut products. My partner bought this shampoo, I should have known better really than to mention I needed shampoo as he was on his way out of the door to drive to our local grotty discount store - he came back with this Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair & Care shampoo in Yogurt and Coconut, and matching conditioner. Lucky me. It is, as it's 79p (grimy yellow) price tag would suggest, rubbish. It feels like it could be a decent shampoo; the smell is extremely synthetic but nice(ish) in a not-very-much-like-coconut kinda way.
