As mentioned in previous reviews, I am generally not loyal to one particular brand when it comes to shampoo as I think it is good for your hair to give it a change now and again. I tend to stick to quality brands such as Dove when it comes to shampoo but I was quite taken with Schwarzkopfs Repair & Care Coconut Shampoo.

I quite fancied this one as my hair always needs repairing, especially at the ends and obviously I want my hair to be cared for so this claimed to give me everything I need from a shampoo, but the main reason I wanted to try it was because it was coconut, and I just love the smell of coconut products.

I got this on offer at our local Superdrug for the bargain price of just 99p, which for a 400ml bottle is pretty damn good value for money in my opinion. The coconut hit me (not literally!), as soon as I opened the bottle and I knew at that point that I was going to like this shampoo. I washed, conditioned etc as usual and dried my hair to see what the results were.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works for a cheap shampoo. I certainly wouldn't say it has the quality of a brand such as Dove, as although it claims to repair, even after a few washes, I didn't feel it did much to repair my damaged hair at all and I felt it left the ends a little dry. My hair did look and feel nice and clean though and my hair had a nice shine to it which was good. As predicted, my hair smelt divine too and I was really pleased to note that the smell wasn't something that was evident, then faded quickly. In fact the smell lasted longer than even I had expected it too, and I have quite high expectations!

I tend to wash my hair in the evening, and the effects lasted until probably mid-afternoon of the next day which isn't bad for me as my hair always looks limp and greasy within 24 hours anyway, hence why I wash my hair every day so I was quite impressed with the longevity of this shampoo.

Overall, this is a decent shampoo for the price. It cleaned well, left my hair smelling wonderful and the effects lasted well. I wasn't overly impressed by the fact it claimed to repair hair, as I found it did nothing for me in this area whatsoever but as a general cleaning shampoo it was pretty good and so comes with a recommendation from me, though not a high one.
