I don’t actually have specific reasons for picking particular shampoos.

So, just like any other visit to this store, all the bottles down the shampoo isle were standing to attention on the long white wooden shelves, waiting to be picked by a potential customer (ME).

The shampoo I chose on this occasion was certainly not down to its outward appearance (definitely not an attention seeker). Its design was neither bright or ‘different’ than any of the other brands. It was just a matter of random picking and an intrigue in its fragrance.

You see, I just love the smell of Coconut. Perhaps it reminded me of sunny days in the Caribbean or just because I love the taste of Malibu. So when I found a 400ml shampoo which claimed to be ‘Yoghurt & Coconut’ in this establishment (Wilkinson’s). I thought hmm this might make a nice change.

So I read the back of the bottle this read:

“NUTRITION FOR HAIR Supersoft’s rich and creamy Yoghurt Smoothie Shampoos contain Yoghurt Protein. Supersoft Shampoo strengthens the hair, improving its texture and making it silky smooth.”

And…

“MOISTURING & RESTORING With extract of Coconut, Supersoft Smoothie Shampoo restores and moisturise dry and damaged hair – for more healthy, manageable hair.”

Enough to sell it to me - so into my basket it went.

That evening my new shampoo breathed as I opened the lid in the shower and squirted a reasonable amount onto my hand. I then rubbed it into my scalp.

Aww that lovely smell again I could sniff it for hours! After washing the shampoo out of my hair and towel drying it. I could still smell the sweet scent of Coconut.

So what were the results?

My hair felt soft, not ‘supersoft’. It looked healthier and shiner so I was more than impressed with the results. I have long thick hair so always shampoo twice. This is definitely recommended with this product for best results. The shampoo I used is best for people with dry or damaged hair. I use to dye my hair so it’s quite dry these days therefore this is the most appropriate shampoo for my hair type.

By all accounts a very good result. The hair looks good and smells good.

…Conclusion…

Supersoft Yoghurt & Coconut to be or not to be used? In my opinion a big ‘TO BE’. This shampoo is brilliant for the price. I love the scent (if you haven’t gathered that already!).
