A leave in conditioner for damaged hair that actually seemed to work

Many years ago, I had a *thing* about my natural dark brown hair colour, and thought my life would be be sorted if I could just attain a perfect shade of blonde! I think this was a hangover from my school days, where the most popular girls were the blondest! A bit sad I know, but we live and learn! So, I home highlighted it- hated it - dyed it brown - highlighted it again - dyed it back - had salon highlights - hated them - had more put in by students (WHY?!!) etc etc .... essentially, my hair was a mess and eventually I had to make an emergency trip to a colourist as I had a strange orangey hair colour, and my hair was absolutely frazzled. Within an hour I was back to something resembling my previous dark shade, but much more lifeless and much less shiny. The colourist recommended Potion 9, a leave in conditioner, as a way of restoring my hair. I bought it, even though it came with a hefty price tag of £19.00, because a.) I wanted nicer hair, and b.) I was awful at saying 'No'! For once, my lack of assertiveness paid dividends. Potion 9 is a strange orange goo , but somehow it actually worked, and restored the texture of my straw-like brittle locks to something that actually felt like hair. Over time it also enhanced the shine and really helped with the condition. It is pricey but a little goes a long way. A tube lasted me for months, and I had very long hair then. The tube itself is metal, which means you can squeeze every much needed blob out, though it can split and the potion gets a bit gungey if you don't keep the cap clean. Over the years I have suffered many other colour disasters, (nope I didn't learn) and have returned time and again to Potion 9. Luckily, marriage and children (and just growing up a bit!) has cured my blonde envy, but I can't be certain it won't return, and I hope Potion 9 is around to mend my hair when it does! The shampoos and conditioners in the Sebastian range are nice too, but nothing has proved as effective as Potion 9. I recommend it highly. I realise that this is more of an anecdotal review, than a science report but nonetheless, I hope it is of some use & if your hair is in need of rescue it is definitely worth a try. HQHair.com stock most of the Sebastian range, as do quite a few salons. Happy repairing!

A WONDER PRODUCT FOR DRY AND OVER-PROCESSED HAIR

AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC! I have over-processed hair due to some disasterous colouring over the past 3 weeks; my hair has been bleached 3 times in 3 weeks and was looking 'muddy' the highlights were awful and my hair was feeling thin and very very fragile; I read about this product and bought some on the net from Ebay; Its SENSATIONAL!!!! Today, I was in town and someone actually asked me where I get my hair done!!! Not only does this amazing product restore shine, it gives your hair volume and makes weak brittle hair feel beautiful - I have only used it once, but normally I use expensive conditioners and then - serum. Today, I washed with a mild shampoo and then just used the potion and wow!!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! In future, I will take this to the hairdressers with me and ask them to use it in place of the goo they usually put in. The condition of my hair was so awful that a hairdresser recently told me to give it a rest for a few weeks - however, this amazing product has actually made the colour of my hair look truely beautiful - the lights in my hair are brighter and my hair looks and feels FANTASTIC!!! if you, like me, have been down in the dumps due to over-processing and bad hairdressers - BUY THIS POTION!!! Truely, its simply FANTASTIC!

        Awsome product

I have used Sebastian Potion 9 for many years now, and I still LOVE it! I have naturally curly hair and this is the only product that I have found that I can put on my hair let it air dry without having that crispy product feeling in my hair. It is a miracle potion that conditions, takes care of the frizzys, and makes hair feel soft and managable. I hope that this product NEVER goes off the market, I will not know what to do with my hair!!!

I was extremely cautious trying this product out but under my friend's advice I splurged on this slightly expensive tube full or orange goo. After I put it into my hair I noticed an immediate difference in my hairs texture and feel. I have extremely over-processed hair and htis product made my dry and brittle hair actually feel HEALTHY!! I absolutely fell in love with this product and use it after every shower and my hair feels incredible. I don't even mind paying extra money for this treatment at the salon. I even like the smell.

My wife twisted my arm for hours to put this up so here you are!: Potion 9 is a super concentrated treatment that will restore thickness and revitalise dry and damaged hair. I find it helps tremendously giving your hair body and shine. It contains nine different botanical oils (not dodgey chemicals like most of todays products). A 150ml tube will last me about 4 months (I have long hair)eliminating a good many visits to the hairdresser because of split ends. It is only available from hairdressers (I have not yet found any high street store that sells it), so you will have to do some searching, but it is worth it believe me!
