Since starting to grow my hair longer, and it finally getting the dreaded "messy stage", I have found it easier to be able to tie my hair up on bad hairs (which unfortunately seem to be happening more and more often!), though I do need some sort of "cement" to keep my up do, well, up! After perusing the hair products section when shopping recently I came across a product I haven't used in years, but was a huge fan of in my teens, so snapped a bottle straight up! The product in question is - "Shockwaves - ultra strong power hold gel spray". In my teens I was actually nicknamed "shockwaves" due to my ... Read the complete review

I have been trying to grow my really short hair style out so I can have a bit more style to it. I have a natural wave to my hair so find that after it has got to a certain length it is a right pain to get it to stay in any kind of style without bits kinking out at the sides or back or where ever else they decide to spring out. I was in Superdrug the other day looking to buy some new hair gel or something and they had an offer on buy 3 for 2 on Shockwaves products so decided to give it a go and bought one of these gel sprays as part of my 3 for 2. The spray comes in a nice looking can which is very stylish with its bright red packaging. ... Read the complete review

Shockwaves gel spray is great - if you want hair to stay in place and NEVER move! Basically shock waves gel spray is for those short spikey hair do's that dont move! If you are after a more natural look ie one that does not shout out she'd definetly gelled it then dont use this! I've had short hair for years and wouldnt be without this stuff. Its very easy to use and alot less messy then applying it with your fingers - you just spray it where you want it! It smells ok. Dont use too much of it as it really does not need alot of it to get a good result! It's best shampoo'd out as when you try to brush it out your hair does tend to go a bit ... Shockwaves are know for their 'extreme' hold- and this product is no different! To be fair, it does what it says - it holds your style firmly in place! This is why I can highly rate this product. I used to style my hair in ringlets, but without product they would unravel and frizz up in the day. For curly girls, this product keeps curls defined and tamed. The spray is very handy and imagine if you were faced with a pot of gel, you can't do much when you have a scoop in your hand! This gel spray means as the push of the pump you can target the area you want and get a light, even spray. For curls, this also means you don't need to touch your curl or run your ... Ok picture the scene..its our hall ball..I've got my gorgeous curls piled onto top of my head and about 3 friends desperately trying to pin them in some style or other. We're all out of hair spray and someone suggests trying the new Shockwaves Gel spray they bought today...it sounded like a good idea. But Shockwaves Gel spray is sticky, hard to spray in the right place and absolutely impossible to brush out. It held my hair in place, but like glue - I couldn't touch my hair all night, my boyfriend couldnt touch it and when I took out the pins several hours later my hair was still welded in the same position!! On the plus side if ... Read the complete review
