Advantages: Gives a basic wash to the hair.

Disadvantages: So overpriced, Smells odd, Causes product build up, Greasy hair soon after use.

Soap and Glory are hands down one of my favourite brands for beauty products. I love many items from their range, and never seem to be disappointed with them. How wrong I was. Thankfully, I did not have to purchase this product and was given it from a friend. Funnily enough, the reason she passed it on to me was because she absolutely hated it. I really should have trusted her judgement!

If for some mad reason you are interested in purchasing this shampoo, the S&G range is stocked at most Boots stores and is quite easy to get hold of. The price this is sold at is £5.50 which I feel is very expensive for a shampoo. Especially when it has nothing good to show for it.

I was excited to use it as I love S&G, and as this is part of their Original Pink range, I was hoping it would have the same yummy and squeaky clean scent as all their other products. Unfortunately, when I opened up the cap, I really did not like the smell. It is described as 'a fresh fruity fragrance incorporating notes of the classic Soap and Glory fragrance with a big dollop of peach on top'. Personally I think it smells like gone off fruit, and really is not too pleasant.

You get a standard 250ml worth of shampoo, but it comes upside down and in a nice bottle which makes it much easier to dispense the shampoo. I completely love the bottle and design of the product, as it follows the usual Soap and Glory style of retro feel products. I particularly loved the name 'Glad Hair Day', and was really hoping for good results from it. I was not expecting big results, but I had a certain expectation for the quality of it.

Using the shampoo was a breeze, and it was quite nice in the shower despite the smell. It lathered up really nicely and covered my whole hair with only a small amount. It washed out nicely and my hair did feel quite clean upon immediate use. I was excited to see how well it worked when my hair was dry.

It had cleaned my hair well, but not difference in terms of shine like the product claimed. In fact, it did no more than your bog standard shampoo. Had I have paid the full price, I would have been very disappointed in the results. However, the thing which really got me was the after effects of using this. Within almost hours, my hair got really greasy easily despite applying no other products to it. This shampoo just seems to make my roots much more oily and it is not a good look at all!

One thing I was really excited about this shampoo was that it claims to have a no build up formula. I often have to change shampoos as I do tend to suffer from product build up really bad when it comes to shampoos. This is the first one that has promised a no build up formula which is perfect for everyday use. Unfortunately, I did experience product build up with this, and this just made my hair more and more oily.

Overall, I have been so disappointed with this shampoo from Soap and Glory that I have just chucked it in the bin. Do not waste your money on this as the quality is just not there. It is okay for a basic wash to the hair, but why not pop to Poundland and get a shampoo that works better? It smells weird, leaves hair greasy quickly and costs far too much. The only product I have ever been disappointed with from Soap and Glory, and I definitely will be avoiding this in the future. Avoid like the plague! Thanks for reading and hope it helps.

Summary: The only S&G product I've ever been disappointed with. Not even worth one star.
