Advantages: Smells lovely, smoothes the hair.

Disadvantages: Makes hair thick and greasy, difficult to manage, expensive.

** WHO ARE SOAP & GLORY? **

Soap & Glory was created by a very clever lady named Marcia Kilgore who is also the brain behind Bliss Spas and the new Fit flops range. Soap & Glory is now a huge bath and beauty range sold in boots, John Lewis and the similar large stores. Its products range from bubble bath and body lotion, to lip gloss and self-tan. Although the products are quite pricey compared to the rest of the market it definitely has made its mark in the beauty and body industry and has a strong, loyal customer base.

** WHAT IS HAIR SUPPLY? **

It advertises itself as being a gloss-giving radiance and repair mask for all hair types. It is also aimed at helping over-processed hair and controlling split ends. It sounds pretty good as you can use it as a normal conditioner where you leave it in for 60 seconds or you can use it as a more intensive weekly treatment where you leave it in for 3-4 minutes. It definitely seems reminiscent of an intense hair conditioner / hair mask and seems to promise exactly what my hair needs!
Now at £6.00 for 200ml, it is relatively expensive so as usual I bought it when the Soap & Glory range was on offer at boots. I love the 3 for 2 deals!

** SO... WHAT IS IT LIKE TO USE? **

Packed into a squishy tub the hair supply mask is a thick off white cream like liquid, almost like a body moisturiser! The smell of all Soap & Glory bath products in my opinion are relatively the same which means they really stand out amongst my other bath products as the scent is very individual and fairly strong. It is a hard fragrance to describe. But it is a mixture of strawberry, vanilla, apple and orange. Plus a few more things thrown in. Although the smell is strong in the bottle, I found that not only did it make my bathroom smell pretty tasty but my hair had a lovely fresh smell for a good while after getting out of the bath.
I was a little worried when I first squeezed some into my hands. My hair is quite fine and greasy, so I have to be careful with quite heavy hair products as they tend to make my hair limp. But as this advertised itself as being for all hair types I assumed it would be ok. So I massaged the mask into my hair and left for a couple of minutes. I didn't want to leave it on for too long just in case my hair didn't like it but I wanted to give it time to work.
Straight away my hair felt softer, clean and very smooth. Almost oily! The hair supply was pretty easy to wash out considering how thick it was and my hair felt squeaky clean!

I always dry my hair the same way. I towel dry it, then dry it with the hair dryer until almost dry and then leave it to dry completely naturally. I just feel that my hair doesn't need to be completely blasted by the hair dryer until bone dry! As I started to dry my hair I noticed that it felt quite sticky, almost as though I didn't wash the conditioner out properly. I can assure you I rinsed it away for a good few minutes longer then my regular conditioner so there was no way there was any left in my hair! So I thought it might just need to be dried completely before it went back to normal. So after a few minutes my hair was dry. Now, firstly yes my hair was shiny and I noticed it felt extremely thick. However it felt very weighed down and it didn't feel as 'clean' as it usually does. I was almost tempted to wash my hair again!! Unfortunately it only lasted a few hours before the roots of my hair became quite greasy and unmanageable. I was not impressed and very disappointed! It seemed to promise so much!

** CONCLUSION **

I was disappointed in this product as instead of leaving my hair smooth and shiny, it left my hair smooth, thick and greasy! Although it smells delicious it needs to look clean and unfortunately my hair didn't react well to this. If it does work on any hair I would advise it be dry and damaged hair as it gives it so much moisture that my hair didn't know what to do with it! I won't be buying this again and I still have ¾ of a tube to use!! For the price I am positive I can find a cheaper more effective alternative from another brand. This is not on my Christmas list!

Thank you for reading.

Summary: An expensive conditioner that makes hair greasy.
