Soap & Glory Hair Supply
Advantages: luxurious, works!
Disadvantages: Time consuming
I tend to get a lot of split ends, which can be very annoying. I saw that S&G had a product out called, 'Soap & Glory Hair Supply' that claimed to be 'a super gloss-giving radiance and repair mask treatment for all hair types, which leaves hair smooth and shiny, and coats and controls split ends' I have had a lot of success in the past with S&G products, so i was positive i would not be let down.
I bought the 200ml size of this product from Boots for £6.38. You can also buy it from Harvey Nichols for £6.50. Miniature versions of this product can be bought also, these will probably be best if your a first time buyer.
I just simply adore all Soap & Glory packaging! They always have an old-fashioned look about them, but yet they still manage to be very girly and cute. On the front of this particular product, it has a woman with volumised, short and styled hair. All around this picture it has many slogans and a bit of information about the product in pink, black, silver and white banners. It has the Soap & Glory logo at the bottom. The 200ml is fairly big, and in a paint-like bottle container, which you squeeze and the product comes out. The lid is located at the bottom and is a light pink colour. You flick open the hinged lid to reveal the hole where the product exits the bottle. The bottle itself is a clear container so you can see the creamy/yellow product inside. I find that transparent bottles are very handy as you know when your nearing the end of you product, and when you'll need to refill it. On the back it has the instructions, cautions, a contact address and the ingredients. The container is recyclable, and the product can be kept for up to 24 months.
The product itself is very creamy and silky. It's a creamy/yellow colour, which, in the bottle, looks quite like hair wax. It has that distinctive, S&G smell which is just to die for! Soap & glory products are never tested on animals, so if you believe in animal welfare, like myself, this product will be worth considering. The Ultra-lite gel formula hydrates and de-frizzes your hair, but won't weigh it down. This product is a mask treatment for all hair types, so anyone can buy it and see results.
The application is fairly simply. All you do is after shampooing, squeeze the excess water from your hair then apply a handful of the product, massaging from roots to tips. You leave on for 60 seconds for a daily smooth, or leave on for 3-4 minutes for a more intensive weekly treatment. Rinse well after use. Although be careful not to get the product in your eyes. If eye contact does occur, rinse thoroughly with cold water. This can be time consuming, but i assure you it's worth it!
I could definitely feel a difference in my hair- It had volume, was smooth, shiny and had a lot less visible split ends. It could also be styled with much ease and the style continued to stay in my hair throughout the day- much longer than what it would have if i hadn't used the product.
It can be rather time consuming to apply.
I think this product when used correctly, can produce great results. I would not use this as a daily conditioner as it's time consuming when I'm relatively busy and on the go a lot of the time, although the 200ml does look like it would last a good few weeks with daily use. I use this conditioner on special occasions and at weekends, rather than weekdays. I would buy again, as i think that with consecutive weekly use, this can provide your hair with a lot of benefits. I would recommend to anyone that's looking to buy a reliable treatment to keep their hair in good condition!
Summary: Worth recommend investing in as a weekly treatment, rather than daily.
