Good to use on holiday or very delicate heads

I recently went on a bit of a suntan shopping spree in Boots with the buy one get one free offer on Soltan suncream. One of the 'free' things I decided to get was this hair and scalp spray as I burn easily and find that I often catch the sun on my parting if I don't wear a hat or tie my hair back and I'm also concerned about my 20 month old son's scalp as I haven't yet convinced him to keep a hat on for more than a few minutes. It is available in Boots, SPF 25 with UVA and UVB filters. It comes in a spray bottle and costs £8.75 for 100ml. It claims to prevent hair damage, colour fade and counteract dryness as well as protecting the skin on the scalp. The only thing I'm actually bothered about is the skin protection. We tested it out last weekend as the sun was out in force, I sprayed a bit along my parting and all over my son's head (true to form his hat was off after a couple of minutes). It has quite a wide spray angle so it is easy to cover the whole head in a few sprays if you have short hair. The good news is that although we were out in the sun for most of the day there was no hint of redness on either of our heads. The bad news is that we spent the whole day looking like we had wet / greasy hair. As far as my son is concerned I'm more worried about his health than how he looks so will continue to use the spray if he won't keep his hat on. I'm a bit more vain when it comes to myself, so although I would use this spray on holiday when I'm out all day in intense sun and in and out of the water too so the 'wet look' wouldn't be too noticeable, I'll be looking for a hat to wear when I'm out and about at home.
