I have short spiky hair that I find very hard to tame. I have had this style for many years and have always been on the lookout for hair products that I can use quickly and that will make my hair perfect without much effort. I work early hours so I wanted something that I could use and wouldn't take too long to create my desired style.

I first noticed Coco- Gumbo by Gum hair in Superdrug. I have noticed that the title of this review says that you can only but this from Superdrug but I have seen it in other stores too.

The pot isn't that attractive, just a white pot with a black lid. I have noticed that on all the pot I have bought it says "50% extra free" on the top (75ml for the price of 50ml) I don't think I have ever seen the 50ml pots before. I think the pot looks rather cheap looking. The pot has to be used within 18 months once opened.

The only reason why I bought this product is because I loved the smell. It has the sent of coconut and a whiff of apples. It smells so nice, I feel I could actually eat it. The smell is very strong and can be smelt as soon as the pots opened. The price was not too bad. At £3.99 I though it was rather cheap so I decided to buy it.

THE RESULT

The gum is rather thick and blue in colour. The pot is filled quite generously. The gum is rather sticky but when applied to your hair it does do the job and will stay in place. The end result was quite pleasing as I found my style lasted all day. My hair did not feel greasy as often did when I used other hair products.

I was quite disappointed when I found that my local Superdrug did not stock Coco- Gumbo anymore. I did not use it for several months but was extremely happy when I found it in a Sainsbury's store. I now have a regular steady supply :)

I think the only bad thing about this product as It contains far too many chemicals. The ingredients in this product are endless. Id be here forever if I listed them.
