I have always coloured my hair from an early age, my natural colour is a light brown bordering blonde. I really dislike light hair on me. So the hair colourants I use are always dark to say the least.
Superdrug - Hair Colour Remover Wipe:
'Superdrug Hair Colour Remover Wipes gently remove stains from the hairline, scalp, neck and ears after hair colouring treatment, leaving the skin clean and refreshed'
When dyeing my hair at home it can get messy as the colour I'm using at the moment is a dark purple. I'm normally left with a ring around my hair line. Stains on the top of my ears and the back of my neck.
For me this is rather annoying if you're off out the same day as you colour your hair. So what I normally use is a hair colour remover wipe. I used to be able to get them from my local chemist by a brand I never heard of. Then they stopped!
Luckily I found these little beauties in Superdrug due to dye my hair again I grabbed a few wipes. Just as usual I had stained my face!! So out came the wipe to put it to the test. You only get one wipe per pack; there isn't really much of a scent to them.
Just a small white wipe, I started at the top of my hair line and albeit this little wipe turned out to be rather powerful. Just a couple of rubs and the hair dye was easily wiped away from my skin. I found the one wipe to get rid of my excess colour from my skin.
All you have to do is open the sachet and pull the wipe out and it is ready to use. It just looks like a normal cleansing wipe but smaller. It isn't soaked in liquid so doesn't drip while you are using it.
The only thing for me is the liquid on the wipe leaves my skin a little shinny and slightly on the sensitive side after use. Personally for me this is a minor issue when getting rid of the dye over my face! The feeling doesn't last all that long and a moisturiser for sensitive skin normally does the trick afterward for me.
Price and Availability:
These are only 49p, as it is a Superdrug's own product it can only be purchased from one of their stores or online.
For hair colouring at home this item is certainly a must have. It maybe small but it is without doubt mighty! I fully recommend this to the folk that colour their own hair, it does its job and only 49p!
Five out of five stars from me.
