Having a little miss who swims every week, and whose hair is naturally curly, one of the most useful things I use on her is detangling spray.

I have used quite a few of them, but at the moment, this one seems to be the favourite

THE PRODUCT

The sray comes in a bright green sprasy container which has a pull off top. i mention this because it's worth remembering that it's not child proof; the top is easily pulled off and then it's easy to spray, so keep out of reach of small hands.

The detangling spray itself comes out as a fine mist, and has a nice apple smell, which in itself is appealing to children. One thing I have noticed is that even when you get to almost the end of the bottle, it still sprays easily, and doesn't come out as a liquid.

USING IT

The back of the bottle gives a list of instructions listed as "dos" and "don'ts"

It's really simple to use...wash hair, towel dry, squirt the detangler onto your hair and comb out the tangles.

It reminds children not to eat it, not to rinse it out or use it on pets. Good stuff if your child is at an age when they can read the instructions because it's all very child friendly with ticks and crosses.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

This is available at all Superdrug stores and costs only 99p, or £1.50 for 2, so it won't break the bank!

OTHER PRODUCTS

There are a number of very reasonably priced Little Monster hair products available, all in brightly coloured containers, all with child friendly instructions, and great fruity smells.

Some of the ones we like are Extra Gentle Strawberry Shampoo, and Extra Gentle Cherry Conditioner. All the products are the same price, and you can mix and match, so get your shampoo and conditioner for £1.50

WHAT I THINK

For children this is a great product. It's extra gentle, and even if it accidentally gets in eyes, it doesn't seem to sting that much, and is easily rinsed out. The spray doesn't damage hair, and leaves it tangle free and easy to comb or brush, so no more screeching little lady when her hair is brushed. The apple smell is very appealing for children, so it's easy to get them to stand still and have their hair "seen to"

The front of the bottle is a great gimmick because the little monster on the front invites you to "stroke me and sniff my fruity whiff". When rubbed it releases the smell, so children can really be involved in choosing thesmelle they like best.

A great, reasonably priced product which really does work.
