“ Brand: Superdrug / Type: Hair Shampoo „
I'm not in Superdrug that frequently but recently when I went in to get some other item I noticed that SUperdrug had some of their own range of shampoos on offer at around a pound and I thought it was worth a try. However, I didn't quite read the label correctly and picked up this Superdrug Raspberry and Macademia Nut Shampoo which has actually been designed for coloured hair- mine currently has no unnatural colour in it, and I had picked it up quickly because I thought the smell of the raspberry would be nice.
This shampoo claims on the front of the bottle to create 'radiant looking hair'. The packaging alone makes this product look more expensive than it is and for a 300ml bottle, it is definitely great value for money, full price or half price at just under a pound which it currently is. I love a shampoo that has a lovely smell and then lingers on your hair, so you still smell it afterwards and this one doesn't let you down. YOu can smell the fruity raspberries and even by the evening I can still smell a faint lingering scent on my hair. It is a very pleasant scent that I think would appeal to most people.
Unlike some other shampoos, this one comes out more like a shower gel that a shampoo as its quite thick, however, it lathers up easily and rinses out without problem. I notice when I have dried my hair after using this shampoo that it feels shiny and healthy looking as well as feeling soft and smooth to touch. I generally need a lot of volume to and although this doesn't offer any I do feel that my hair isn't limp looking.
Obviously this would be more suitable for those with coloured hair, but my natural hair colour still responds well to this shampoo and my hair feels clean, smelling beautiful and looking very healthy and shiny. I will definitely purchase more shampoos from the range but probably look for one related to my types of flyaway thin' hair.
=Superdrug Naturals Raspberry & Macadamia Shampoo=
I am not really brand loyal to Shampoos, the only thing I really do try to do is keep the Shampoo and Conditioner from the same brand, and when I go into town, I pop into Superdrug, as I find that they do have some good offers on.
=I like naturals Shampoos=
I have a good selection from the Avons natural collection, bit when I saw this on offer, 99p for 1 bottle or 3 for £2, I immediately got the 3 for £2, (2 shampoo and 1 conditioner).
i don't know whether it is just our household, but we go through shampoo at literally twice the rate of conditioner and the offer just slotted in with that,
=The Aroma - I am in Love=
As soon as I opened the lid of this shampoo I was in love, I could have been in the middle of anywhere, the aroma of the raspberries, took me back to childhood when I use to go Raspberry picking, the nutty fragrance was light, but I love Macademia nuts.
=Using the shampoo=
for my hair as it is short, I put a blob on my hand about the size of a 10p coin, I always rub it together in my hands then apply to my hair, the lather was really good and it kept the aroma, I found it easy to apply, easy to rinse out, and my hair felt clean.
Afterwards my hair felt softer to the touch, and it felt clean, like I had been pampered and it was shiny, my hair is naturally curly, but it went into ringlets in places, which only really happens when I use a couple of more expensive shampoos.
=The real proof - my daughters hair=
My daughter has long thick straight hair, and washing, conditioning, detanlging, drying an hour can pass easily.
With her I put a blob of 50p size shampoo in my hands, as it was a new shampoo, I did her hair for her, to judge whether it was any good, as soon as I opened the shampoo, she loved the raspberry fragrance.
Washing her hair, the difference compared to some other shampoos was amazing, one appliaction this got to the thick of her hair, it lathered well, and when I rinsed out the first shampoo her hair felt clean, smelt lovely, so much that I took a chance and only did the one shampoo before using the conditioner.
When I went to brush her hair, I did not need to use any detangling spray, (we use a tangle teezer any how), her hair just glided though the teezer as though she'd been in a salon.
=The Next Day=
I could still smell the raspberry smell on her hair, when I was close up to her, her hair was shiny, smooth easy to comb.
If I hadn't have brought the shampoo myself there is no way i would have believed the price, I would have expected that to be a £10+ bottle of shampoo.
This Shampoo ain't going to be on the shelves long, as I intend to get some more, and it is excellent value for money, long lasting, so easy to use, and with a aroma that is beautiful.
This is a 5/5 from me,
I always have coloured hair. I am blonde 90% of the time but occasionally I do think its a good idea to stray from my comfort zone and go brunette. I then decide within just a few days I want to be blonde again...Currently I have blonde hair with a few pink layers underneath. I have had the pink for a while in my hair now and I know that it fades quickly and therefore I need to re-dye my hair every 3 or 4 weeks if I want it to remain bright. Therefore, my hair is receiving quite a lot of harsh treatment at the moment.
I use shampoos especially for coloured hair about 50% of the time. When my hair is just blonde I find that it rarely fades so therefore I dont particularly need a shampoo for coloured hair. However, after deciding a few weeks ago I wanted to dye my hair pink again I thought I should get a new shampoo. I tend to go for branded shampoos but when browsing the aisle in Superdrug there wasnt a great deal being offered for a good price. My eyes fell on the Superdrugs own Naturals brand. The packaging looked fresh and modern and I was shocked by the price - 99p a bottle or 3 bottles for £2. I picked up two bottles of this shampoo and one bottle of the matching conditioner because I often find I actually use more shampoo than conditioner.
As soon as I opened the lid of this shampoo I was greeted by a gorgeous aroma of raspberry. I hate the smell of nuts but they really werent detectable in the shampoo and instead the fragrance was strong, sweet and fruity. I loved the smell and thought it was really nice. The shampoo has a screw on lid so it is probably an idea to take the lid off before you shower or it may prove difficult to get off with wet hands.
The shampoo is a deep red/purple in colour and it is quite thick. I used a blob about the size of a 50p piece and I found that this lathered up well. My hair is long and thick and I didnt need to use much of this shampoo to get a decent enough lather to go through all my hair. It rinsed out easily and I was surprised at how little pink dye came out with it as it was much less than I usually find even up to 3 or 4 weeks after colouring and this was only a matter of days.
After using this shampoo my hair felt really clean and soft. It did retain the gorgeous scent for a while afterwards which was nice. My hair remained clean for quite a while after washing, longer than it does with most brands and even when I did wash it again I could have really not bothered because my hair was still clean, soft and very shiny.
My hair feels great since using this shampoo and I would definitely buy it again. It washes my hair well and leaves it really clean and it cares for my hair too, leaving it soft, manageable and shiny. It smells absolutely gorgeous and the price is really fantastic too. I can only give this shampoo 5 stars, I love it!
