I have short thick hair, my daughter has short fine hair riddled with tangles and knots, my niece has Rapunzel length hair that's incredibly thick, tangled and knotted.

All three of us have pain while combing/brushing our hair. I kept going back to Boots to look for new hair brush as the latest I buy doesn't ease the dread each morning when it's time to hold our breaths and brush away.

A bright orange plastic kidney shaped brush caught my attention, Tangle Teezer is the brand name. At £10 with no special offers in sight, I took the plunge and bought it, in all honesty I was prepared to return to Boots and demand my money back as they didn't work.

Well, I was far too hasty. The tangle Teezer glided through my hair, it was like slicing a fluffy uncooked merignue! With so many tiny plastic bristles I doubted it would leave me uncertain whether or not it actually went through my hair. My daughter loves this brush as she can finally brush her hair with ease and without tears.

My niece had a go after marvelling that my hair looked so smooth and glossy after I had used it, with infinite hair compared to mine we doubted it would be effective on hers, lo and behold the Teezer went through from roots to the end (I didn't think her hair had any end!) as if she was waving a wand through air.

I highly recommend buying this, when I went back to buy one for my niece before she went home there were other colours available, all bright and neon colours! I cannot find fault with it. It is a kidney shaped handle, ergonomic and very comfortable to use. Turn it upside down and left handed brushing is comfortable too.

At £10 I can appreciate people thinking its pricey, however I used to buy detangling conditioner and detangle spray and can say over a few months the brush works out a lot cheaper as you don't need the aforementioned products to detangle, just this Teezer.
