“ Brand: Tesco / 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner / 300ml. / Type: Hair Shampoo / Subcategory: Conditioner / Further Category: 2 in 1 Shampoo „
I recently bought this shampoo on impulse because I was watching the pennies and I needed a shampoo / conditioner quickly. I saw this priced at £1 for 400ml and I thought that I couldn't go wrong... it would certainly see me through to pay day.
********** Usability ************
The thing that struck me about this shampoo is how soapy it gets, just from using a 10 pence sized allocation of shampoo I had a lot of foam in my hair. I was quite surprised by this because I have very thick hair and usually I need double the amount for my hair to foam up. Once I'd rinsed the shampoo / conditioner out I was also pleased with how my hair felt. Usually, if I don't use a separate conditioner my hair feels like hey while I'm in the shower, but on this occasion it was nice and soft and I ran a comb easy through my hair once I'd towel dried it.
********* The result ***********
My hair was soft but style-able after I'd used this product. Also, a friend of mine was helping me to style my hair and she commented on how nice my hair was smelling and she asked me what shampoo I'd used, considering this was a £1 budget buy I was very happy by this comment!
******** My opinion *********
I would definitely use this product again. I think it's really good value. However it's probably worth pointing out that I have normal / greasy hair that is quite thick. I don't know how manageable you would find this shampoo if you had a different hair type.
I am giving this product five out of five dooyoo stars because I think that it's great value and I was really happy with the result!
With the recent credit crunch and also wanting to finish decorating and furnishing my house I wanted to save some money. One of the most obvious ways for me to make some savings was through the shopping bills and so when I needed some more shampoo I looked to see if there was a cheaper alternative to my usual range of brand name shampoos. That is when I came across Tesco 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner for normal hair at an amazing 60p for a 300ml bottle.
Tesco say on the bottle that this is a salon tested shampoo (I wonder what salons actually tested it??) and it is proven not to cause build up of product on your hair with frequent use. You should only need to wash and rinse once and your hair will be clean, full of body and conditioned.
So what did I think? Well the bottle is quite plain and not very exciting but I guess this is where they are saving some money. The bottle is plastic and a bright pea green colour, (much greener than the photo of the product above), its very much a unisex design to appeal to everyone. The bottle has a flip top cap which can get a little bit messy with shampoo after a while.
The shampoo itself has a fresh clean smell, difficult to attribute the scent to anything, its not particularly exciting but its nice enough. The shampoo foams up well when you massage it into your wet hair. As soon as you start rubbing it into your hair you can feel the conditioner working and your hair starts to feel softer and more conditioned. It is also easy enough to rinse out.
After using my hair feels clean, soft, shiny and manageable. My hair isn't as soft as it would be if I had used a separate conditioner but its much softer than just using shampoo on its own. I think this is a great shampoo and conditioner for the money and I will buy it again. Its quick and easy to use, a bargain price and it leaves your hair clean, soft and shiny. It shows you don't always have to pay extra to get good products and even though you only save a little money in the words of Tesco themselves "Every little helps!"
