Advantages: Just as good as the leading brand, lasts a long time

Disadvantages: Smell is a bit overpowering

Usually I buy Johnsons shampoo for my children's hair, but when I sent my husband to Tesco with a list that included my usual shampoo he came back with the Tesco own-brand. To be honest I wasnt very happy, but not surprised at he is a bit of a cheapskate and will always buty own-brand if he can.

It comes in a 500ml clear bottle - the shampoo itself is yellow, with a cartoon of a baby on the front and it has a yellow flip lid. The bottle tells me that its suitable for newborns and has a no tears formula, so it has the same benefits as Johnsons, but at only £1.07 compared to the £2.56 I normally pay for the leading brand it does seem like a bargain.

Its hypoallergenic so I have been able to use it on my son's hair, even though he suffers with ezcema.

When I use it it does work up a very good lather, and you only have to use a little. It does leave my childrens hair soft, and it seems to make my daughters hair blonder if thats possible. Also it helps to get out any knots and the smell that it has lingers in the hair. If I am honest I dont really like the smell, as it does smell quite synthetic.

Its lasted a long time, we have had it about 3 months and we are halfway through the bottle, despite three children using it.

I would definately buy this again.
