“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Conditioner / Subcategory: Gloss „
Introduction: I tend to share conditioner with my girlfriend as we live together in my flat. Even if she has purchased a Girly conditioner I still tend to use it as it saves us money and she usually buys what is on offer! I trust her judgement on most things like this! We purchased this tesco vita gloss conditioner when it was on offer. It was buy one get one free so we got the shampoo also. We do not tend to stick to a particular brand but we do have our favourites. We had never seen this one before buy thought it was worth a try seeing as most tesco products are usually pretty good and to a high standard. I will now go into a little more detail on this product and explain my thoughts and opinions on it! Price: A 400 ml bottle of conditioner costs £1.75, this means it is pretty cheap compared to other products on the shelf. And we got this on a buy one get one free offer which made the product cheaper. It is a very competitive price because it is an own brand. I would definately pay this price again for the conditioner and the shampoo. They work out to be good value for money. Bottle: The bottle is very bright! It's pink and looks very Girly! However I am not embarrassed to be using it as it works well for me an I share it with a girl! The bottle is plastic and had the words hair benefits up the side. The front of the bottle says how it helps leave hair shiny and enhances smoothness. It is a "vitagloss" conditioner. The bottle stands upside down which is handy because when the bottle is nearly empty you can easily get a lot of condiitner out. On the back of the bottle it tells you that it will rejuvenate full hair and leave It feeling soft shiny and smooth! Did it work? For me it worked a treat! My hair felt very smooth and soft almost instantly. I found it so easy to work into my hair. I always leave it in for about 1-2 mins so that it can really get to work and make my hair feel nice and soft. I really like the smell of it too, it's very subtle but just smells nice in the shower or bath. I found this conditioner left my hair easy to manage and style which is all I really need from a conditioner. I found this just as good as tresemme and it is almost half the price. My girlfriend also really likes how soft her hair feels and it does look nice and shiny after use. She is very fussy with conditioner, but I knows she likes this becaus she has purchased it a few times. Overall it works well and is great for a tesco own brand product. I would recommend that you gig this a try. The bottle also lasted a long time as i found you only need a very small amount to use. But info have short hair so if you have more hair then it may not last aslong as mine has! Overall: I will be giving this a 5 star rating, it does Everyhtihg that I want it to do and leaves my hair soft. I hve used it everyday for around 4 weeks and I am very impressed! Keep and eye out for it on your next shop at tesco. Thanks for reading my review. I hope it helped you out :)
I have no particular loyalty when it comes to picking out hair conditioners. I have to use a tea tree based shampoo due to a sensitive scalp condition I suffer from linked to my eczema, but I have always found I can use whatever conditioner I like, and as I need to us quite a large amount due to having thick, dry, curly hair which is shoulder length and prone to frizz, cheap is normally a good criteria to go with. This is the brand I am currently using and I picked this one up from Tesco when getting the rest of my shopping. It is a Tesco branded product, so therefore only available from their store or online. I'd been using a very cheap tea tree based Tesco conditioner which had left my scalp really dry and sore. I was pretty greatful when my 4 year old mistook it for bubble bath and used about a quarter of the bottle in one go. So bearing in mind that cheap wasn't perhaps the best thing to opt for, I was attracted to this vitagloss brand. The bright pink colour of the packaging did sway me a bit as I love pink, and I thought it might also help my son realise it was Mummy's and not his to waste. A 400ml bottle cost me £1.75, which I felt was a pretty reasonable price. Using this conditioner, I put a decent amount onto one hand using the flip top dispenser on the bottle. The conditioner is quite dense, and I find it best to distribute between two hands and comb it through the length of my hair using my fingers. I then leave it on a couple of minutes while I do whatever else I need to do in the shower, and rinse it off just before I get out the shower. I do this with all conditioners. The conditioner is white in colour, and the smell was a little unappealing in my opinion. I find it a little bit floral, but mostly a synthetic smell. Luckily it is not strong, and I can quickly overpower it once I start using other products out the bath. My hair is in pretty good condtion. I hardly ever dry with a hair dryer or straighten it, so I do not have split ends or extremely dry hair. It is a little dry from dying it to cover grey, but nothing that is extreme. This conditioner is more than adequate for my hair. It washes out easily, leaving my hair soft and free from product, and my hair does feel nice after using it. I have not experienced any of the irritation from my last conditioner. So would I buy this again? I would, but I would also like to try and find something with a bit of a nicer scent. It has done its job well enough, and I do like how easy it is to use and the style of the bottle, but scent is something that is quite important to me, and it is sad that this doesn't quite meet up to what I expect. I've used cheaper conditioners that smell nicer. So my final verdict is its good but not great. I don't feel any inspiration to rush out and buy this when my condtioner runs out next time.
