Advantages: CHEAP AND CHEERFUL, SMELLS NICE
Disadvantages: RUNNY STUFF
I actually bought this Shampoo when doing a mystery shop for a company who wanted me to buy certain products from Tesco online. Part of the assignment was either buy a certain shampoo, or put it in the basket and delete it and forget about it.The Mystery shopper company wanted to find out how easy it was to delete items from the basket, and if it offered you an alternative. Well it never did, but whilst I didn't really need anymore shampoo, I decided I couldn't throw it out and kept it. I'm sure it only cost a measly 59p or something. The shampoo in question is Tescos's own Jojoba and Balsam. Alright it's in a plain plastic cheapo bottle, but I find they are easy to use, with the easy to flip lids. Then if I dropped it in the bath, no damage to the bath or the bottle could be done. What I liked was the lid, somedays I struggle with these flip lids, some manufacturers make them too fiddly, but this was one was great for people even with the most arthiritic fingers. It's a great whopping 750 ml too so I should get plenty of usuage out of it. After using an old shampoo up, I decided to put it to the test. On flipping the lid up, the fragrance hit me immediately. It was quite sweet and reminded me of the juice you squirt on Ice Cream Cones, in fact the consistency was similar. I always wash my hair sat in the bath and use the shower to wash my hair. I almost poured half the bottle on my head, it came out so fast. It was very runny, nothing like your more expensive shampoo. Oh well, I thought it only cost me very little. I've always thought like this, when infact, I should spend a bit more on a more expensive product, and it could last longer as I wouldn't need to use as much. I lathered my hair before the liquid run down my back, it was trying to escape fast.Instead of staying on my hair, it started trickling very quickly down my hair. It did lather up quite well though, but then so it should when half a bottle
had almost gone on my head. I always wash and rinse twice, so I proceeded with the next round. Same thing happened, almost all the bottle has gone now. The aroma was quite nice whilst it was in my hair, but when I rinsed, it didn't last long. The fragrance vanished as quick as the shampoo. Well I do tend to exaggerate, maybe I didn't use all the bottle, maybe a third, hee hee. But it did go down quicker than the thicker shampoo. It did rinse through very well, and didn't leave a sticky residue, I can't say it left my hair soft, as my hair is streaked and quite dry until I use a seperate conditioner. The bottle stated that this was for Dry/Damaged hair, but I can never tell the difference if they work or not. I always leave that to the conditioner to smooth out my dry hair. The shampoo claims to have natural extracts of Jojoba, but I've never smelt the proper stuff so don't know what it's meant to smell like. I can't imagine theres much in this for the cheapo price. Also Tesco say this product isn't tested on animals, only Ice Cream Cones, ha ha. Would I buy it again, no I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, the smell is ok, but it's far too runny, and didn't last two minutes. Anymore info please visit www.tesco.com or write to Tesco Stores LTD, Cheshunt, EN8 9SL Please note the below comments, I have put recommended to potential buyers, as I feel if you are on a shoestring budget, then there's nothing wrong in buying it, the smell is ok, but only average on the consistency. I think there should be a "Maybe" box at the bottom.
