A great basic, no frills, shampoo. (Tesco Tea Tree Shampoo)

Advantages: 750 ml for 99p,

Disadvantages: You need to use more than you would with your average shampoo.

My daughter has very tangly hair so a conditioner is a necessity in our house hold, and I will admit I will try and opt for value products where possibly especially with the credit crunch.

What first attracted me to this shampoo when I saw it on the shelves in Tesco was undoubtedly the size of the bottle this 750ml bottle defiantly stands out when placed on shelves alongside your average leading bottle of shampoo, what also stood out was the price, just 99p.

I selected the tea tree option as I had heard that tea tree is great for deterring head lice. So all this in a 750ml bottle for just 99p. The bottle itself is bog standard no frills, which is to be expected.

Using this product by pouring a palmfull of the shampoo onto your head and massage well into the hair and scalp, rinse well.

The smell is strong but not overpowering and it does leave you hair smelling fresh.

The consistency of the shampoo isn't as thick as a lot of shampoo's given that it is runnier I find I need to use more of this shampoo at a time than I do with some other leading shampoo's. It lathers up quite nicely on your head and is easy to rinse out. If I am not using conditioner then I will shampoo my hair twice at one time with this product, but would do so with other products also.

I would recommend this shampoo, I think it's great value basic shampoo. Yes you need to use more but there is plenty more to use.

Summary: If you aren't after anything specific from a shampoo then this is for you.
