As with most of you nowadays the credit crunch has hit hard. Gone are the days that I can now buy expensive branded products just because I can. Now every penny counts so when I came across Tesco Value Hairspray I thought id give it a go and help my wallet out a bit.

Priced at 37p for a 300ml aerosol can I didnt expect miracles from it and thats exactly what happened. Its not a bad hairspray - it did the job ok and I was pleased with the fact that it didnt leave my hair feeling sticky or looking limp as other hairsprays have done in the past.

The problem I had with it is that it just didn't really do anything. It did give me a certain degree of hold but felt like that had disappeared within the space of an hour so ok as a temporary quick fix but not for a long lasting finish that lasts all day whilst im at work.

The packaging is pretty basic as expected. A tall thin white aerosol can bearing the standard tesco value label with a womans 'flyaway' blonde hair plastered across the front. Not overly appealing by sight but I was more interested in what was in the can. The scent from this spray was actually quite nice and very subtle.

I like the fact that it is quite a thin spray meaning the spray dispenser doesnt get clogged up and sticky. The metal cannister is apparently recycleable so good news there and directions for use are as per other hairsprays. Simply hold the can 10/12 inches away from your hair and spray.

Because it is an aerosol obviously for safety reasons dont leave it in sunlight or near heat, store in a cool place.

SUMMARY:
The packaging says it all about this product. Bland, uninteresting and unexciting. Ok for those like me on a budget but it your after super-hold I suggest you fork out a few more pennies for something a little stronger.
