After years of using hair gel and always and never really using hairspray, I didn't really know what to expect when I used it for the first time. I started with the more expensive branded items and I was so pleased with the way it performed, I now use it regularly.

The Tesco Value hairspray is excellently priced costing only 57p, which is a very cheap price for such a large quantity of 300ml. Other brands like loreal come in much smaller containers and cost around 5 times the price and offer no increased benefits.

You can buy this hairspray in the 'firm hold' variety or the 'Extra firm hold' which is a few more pence expensive but is worth the extra as it tends to hold a style for a longer period.

Once sprayed, it dries within 20 to 30 seconds, which for me is great for styling my hair, loosing the need for holding it in place waiting for the gel to harden or using hair dryers etc. It leaves an almost invisible hold, with no white marks or residue, its strong and resists most things usually encountered. It can also be brushed out easily but this does mean that wearing a hat during the day will remove the hairspray. Its advertised to produce a 24 hour hold, which is definitely feasible.

This product also comes with UV absorbers to protect against sun damage as well as pro-vitamin B5 included within the solution which provides extra strength and nourishment for your hair, giving you peace of mind that its not causing any damage to it.

This product is an excellent buy, after using it I see no need in going back to more expensive branded products. The Tesco Value Hairspray does the required job at a fraction of the cost. I will definitely be using this again in the future.
