Advantages: Holds well, not flaky, very good value.

Disadvantages: None that I can find!

Tesco Firm hold Hairspray, 300ml, 61p

I 've tried a lot of hairspray over the years and had eventually settled on Silvikrin. When walking around Tesco one day I noticed that 250ml of Silvikrin costs £2.16 while 300ml of Tesco's brand cost 61p. At that price I'd be mad not to give it a go.

I didn't really have high hopes for this as a lot of cheap hairspray can damage hair if it is too strong or turn into nasty little white flakes when you brush it out.

I was pleasantly surprised!

Tesco hairspray comes in Natural, Firm and Maximum and all are priced at 61p.
I chose Firm.

You should shake the can before use and hold it around 12" from your hair. It can also be used on damp hair, which is a bonus as a lot of hairsprays turn sticky or filmy if applied to hair that is not completely dry.

When you spray it, it is a light mist that doesn't smell unpleasant. It coats the hair evenly and doesn't clump or flake. I have also used it on wet hair and it works exactly the same either way.

It also contains Pro-Vitamin B5, which helps to strengthen and nourish your hair. I have been using this hairspray for around 5 months and I will continue to use it as it is great. It doesn't flake, is easy to brush out, and costs around 1/3 of the price of most other brands!

I would highly recommend this hairspray as it is a good all-rounder; it works well, doesn't flake and costs a lot less than most branded hairsprays.

Summary: A great value product that works as well as the leaading brands!
