Tesco Value Hairspray
Advantages: Makes hair hard and stops it moving
Disadvantages: Makes hair hard and stops it from moving
I have short spiky hair which I style with wax. Mousse and gel are no good for my hair as it is wavy and can be a little wild so it needs something strong on it to prevent it from moving about. If I am going out and it is windy I will also usually spray something on it either a gel spray or else some hair spray.
Now because I want something that is going to make my hair like rock I find that the cheaper the hair spray the more suitable it is for my particular needs and the Tesco Value hairspray is cheap as chips and does exactly what I want of it.
The hair spray costs only around about 40p for a largish tin and although it was rebranded to Everyday Value hair spray it still seems to be exactly the same otherwise.
You get a 300ml tin of hair spray for the 40p so it is really good value for money and I find that a tin will last me for months.
I use it to keep my hair in place after I have styled it so I just spray it all over my hair for a few seconds. It dries pretty quickly and once it has dried it leaves my hair feeling a little bit hard and it definitely stops it from moving. A light spray is enough for most days but if it is really windy then I just spray a little bit more on and it makes it almost impossible to move.
The thing that I really like about this hair spray is that although it makes my hair rock solid and stops it from moving even slightly it is relaly easy to get out of my hair. I can either brush it out though this does tend to leave white marks that can look like dandruff or else wash my hair. One shampoo is enough to remove all traces of the hair spray.
I personally wouldn't say this would be a great hair spray for women with longer hair as I doubt that they would want that crisp hard look on their hair but for short hair it is ideal and really does stop hair from moving.
I haven't been able to buy this the last couple of times that I have went to get it and have had to spend a little bit more to buy the slightly more expensive Tesco own brand and I just thought that my store had none in but the website says it is currently unavailable so I hope it hasn't been discontinued because it is excellent value for money and does the job for me.
Summary: Great for keeping short hair from moving but don't think it would be suitable for long
