      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A great product to invest in if your hair is coloured, also ethically sourced and great smelling,

This product from the Body Shop's hair care range is one which whenever I can afford it, I invest in. The reason I say this is that a 250ml bottle is usually £5.50 so it is not particularly cheap, they do sometimes offer two of these size bottles for £9 so you can get both the shampoo and conditioner but this still seems quite pricey for the size of the bottles when you consider what you could pick up in Boots or supermarkets for the same cost.

However, because of how nice this product is I tend to stick it on my christmas and birthday wishlists and hope that I get some as gifts, fortunately my other half knows how much I love this stuff and usually obliges.

The smell of this product is fantastic, I actually have no idea what a 'bilberry' looks or smells like but the fragrance of this conditioner (and the matching shampoo) is very fruity and fresh, almost like an intense blueberry smell. The great thing is that it lingers on your hair for a long time so you will keep catching whiffs of it as you go about your day.

I find this conditioner is particularly effective on my shoulder length hair at preventing tangles and leaving it feeling very smooth and silky. It is one of those conditioners where you can really feel the difference while the hair is still wet, on washing it out the hair feels incredibly slippery and tangle free. This is not to say it is difficult to wash out though, its actually very light and easy to rinse through which makes it a joy to use.

I always try to save this product for the first few washes after I have had my highlights redone because it does seem to be effective at keeping that radiant 'shine' that you usually get for the first few washes, if I use this product while the highlights are fresh it seems to me they retain this look for a good few weeks. In my book this alone makes the price tag almost worth it!

I have always tried to make sure I use the conditioner with the shampoo and for me they do work, I think the fact they contain UV filters means that to use them together makes more sense and protects your hair more fully.

Apparently the main moisturising ingredient in this product is fair trade organic soya oil which is rich in essential fatty acids and helps restore the moisture in the hair and make it supple. The fact that this product is full of ethically sourced products and is not tested on animals is a proper bonus on an already excellent product in my opinion.
