Advantages: Lovely scent, cleans well

Disadvantages: Expensive

The Cost...
A bottle of this costs £6.50 for 250mls. This product is only available in the Body Shop. I just had a look at the online shop, and this isn't on there. I'm assuming that is because it is only available in store rather than no longer availble at all.

I have a Body Shop loyalty card and over the summer i went in during a promotion and i got 6 sample pots, which were great. One of them was this shampoo, they gave me a big sample pot, so i got 3 days of shampooing out of it.

The Packaging...
Usual Body Shop packaging in their trademark 250ml bottles. The lable is a kind of green coilour. Nothing fancy about this packaging. The plastic is recycled and recycleable.

The Brand...
If you don't know of the Body Shop - why not?

Known for its ethical practices, from the fair trade in making products to the 'not tested on animals' in developing them, Anita Roddick (founder of the Body Shop) developed an amazing chain of stores, now on line. Very smelly, very pretty and generally good for the world.

The Body Shop is now owned by the international giant - L'Oreal. Kind of takes the shine off of it, but outwardly the Body Shop still stands for its founder's moral's and principal's.

This Product...
This shampoo is intended for coloured hair. I have long, blonde hair with highlights, i occassionally use colour shampoo. I only used this for 3 days, so i can't really comment on the long term effect on my colour.

Wash with water, rub this in and rinse, lathers OK.

The Body Shop staff are normally pretty clued up on their products and they will give you advice on skin types, hair types etc. there is also info online.

The scent is really sweet, which is a little strange for a shampoo - took me a while to get used to that! But i really liked the smell. It lasted for half the day, which was really nice, i liked that.

The shampoo washes out well. I have used Body Shop shampoos in the past and they've left residue, but this one didn't. It didn't leave my hair feeing silky. I like the sleek & silky type shampoos, and this one didn't really achieve that. But i can't complain about thje condition it left my hair in.

My opinion...

A decent shampoo for regular use.

Lovely fresh & sweet smell if you like your hair smelly.

Not a 'silky' shampoo, but leaves hair fresh, clean and nourished.

Good all round product, but questionable whether it is worh the money.

Summary: Use me if you like smelly hair, not silky hair
