Advantages: Give a great shine and softness to dry hair types.

Disadvantages: Hard to lather up, only a few applications per bottle.

**** Introduction ****

While on a regular visit to my local Body Shop last week, I purchased a hand and nail lotion along with a body scrub, as I spent over £15.00 I got a choice of a free shampoo to try.

I settled for the Brazil nut shampoo for dry damaged hair, to my suprised this was a full size and I got it for nothing.

**** The Shampoo ****

The shampoo came in a 200ml plastic bottle with a flip top cap, within the cap there is a small hold where the shampoo can be dispensed in small amouts at a time.

This shampoo is a transparent brown colour and has a slight sparkle to it, the sparkle is there to give the hair added moisture and shine making it look and feel great.

This Brazil nut shampoo smell very nutty while you are using it, but the scent soon wears off after you have rinsed out the product. It is best used on dry damaged hair types.

I have bleached highlights and my hair can become very dry especially at this time of year, so I do like to use a shampoo that helps protect it everyday.

This shampoo is very sticky and clings to my hands, so it can be very difficult to get up a good lather to clean the hair properly, but I have found that if I add a small amount of water to the shampoo this thins it out and it then works perfectly.

Unlike many shampoo you actually have to use a lot of the product to get a good lather and clean the hair nicely.

As this was a free product I cant complain, but I dont think I would ever pay the £6.50 full price to try it again.

**** My Views ****

This is very expensive and in my opinion a product that you would have to love to buy it again, I personally found that the bottle did not go very far as so much was needed to get a good all round clean.

This maybe good for finer hair types as it will penetrate the hair and scalp a lot easier but for me I did struggle to clean my hair with it.

This plus side to the product is the fact that it leaves your hair feeling silky smooth and gives it a great shine, but when you only get eight of ten applications a bottle, it makes it a very expensive way of washing your hair.

Summary: Not suitable for me but finer hair types may love it.

I haven't tried this one yet but have had other products in the Brazil Nut oil range. This sounds a bit disappointing given the shelf price, still as a freebie, nothing lost!
