Advantages: smoothes, gets rid of frizz, seperates curls

Disadvantages: can make hair look greasy

This is my first opinion over here in the world of dooyoo so please be gentle! I’m a ciaoer originally!

I'm a bit of a girlie girl and i love all beauty products, so what better way to start of my life as a dooyooer than with a beauty opinion!

I have blonde shoulder length wavy hair. Except that i don't want it wavy, it looks horrible like that! I look like a little kid can’t do their hair like normal grown-ups. No offence to people who have wavy hair, I think it looks really nice on some people, just not on me, although it is in good condition when in this form.

I like my hair to be straight, as straight as i can get it, so i use every type of straightening heated product there is! I use hair dryers and straightener's most of the time. As you can imagine this often leaves my hair very puffy and parched, and not the smooth sleek sex goddess hair that i would like!

One day my mum bought me this coconut oil hair shine. I wasn’t that optimistic about it, as I’m not really a fan of the body shop, but I gave it a go anyway.

It comes in a tin, a bit like the Vaseline lip tins but on a bigger scale. The top of the tin is red, with a bit of blue and yellow on it. It says the net weight is 50g. The actual oil is more like a yellowy wax. It has a really strong but not overpowering smell of coconut to it, but the greasy feel of it put me off straight away, but I still persevered with it.

The instructions say smooth a small amount over your hair after it has been dried and styled. Take note of what I have just wrote- a SMALL amount. One time I forgot about this and applied it quite generously. My hair went flat and greasy, and my hair looked like it hadn’t been washed in weeks! Yuk.

It can be used for all hair types. To smooth and condition straight hair and dry ends, or to separate curls in curly hair. I am now a huge fan of this product, as when I small amount is smoothed
through your hair it tames frizz and gives a shine to your hair.

Perfect, sex kitten hair!

Well, it would be if I could get rid of these blasted waves and curls that keep springing up! Grrr!

Oh, one more thing, Don’t do what I did and leave it near a radiator of out in the sun! The waxy stuff does turn into a sort of oil and it all melts and then hardens in a funny shape!

Each tin lasts a long time so its been a while since I’ve had to re-stock, but as far as I can remember it was quite cheap and only cost a few pounds! It’s got to be worth trying it doesn’t it, because if you don’t like it you wont have wasted loads of money!
