I am a great fan of the body shop and am often to be found browsing their shelves. I like trying new shampoos. So when I spied body shop ginger anti-dandruff shampoo I did not hesitate to buy it. I often suffer with a dry, flaky scalp, but am reluctant to use some of the products on the market as they are very harsh and have made my hair and scalp worse in the past. I also love the smell of ginger so this was another plus point for me. The body shop ************* One of the reasons I give the body shop my custom is that I consider them to be an ethical business. Body shop involves itself in various environmental campaigns. Most recently joining forces with the U.K?s first green electricity company, ecotricty,to convert 1 million homes to ecotricity by 2010. Body shop are also against testing on animals .I am happy that body shop support smaller producer communities throughout the world. The packaging used is kept to a minimum and can all be recycled. Body shop asks that you return your empty bottles to them so they can be re used. So what about the ginger shampoo? The product ********** Body shop makes a range of shampoos for different hair types. The ginger shampoo is specially formulated to treat dandruff and dry hair conditions. Ginger is a natural antiseptic. In addition the shampoo contains infusions of birch bark, white willow and oak moss, all natural ingredients that help to sooth and moisturise. Body shop ginger anti dandruff shampoo is packaged in a clear plastic bottle with a black flip top lid. I paid Just over £ 3.00 for a 250 ml bottle. If you really like this product it is available in larger sized bottles. So what?s it like to use? Well my first impression was that the shampoo is quick thick and you don?t need too much of it to achieve a really good lather. The smell is very distinctly of ginger. I liked the slight tingling feeling that I experienced when using this shampoo too. It rinsed out
easily. Body shop recommends you use their banana conditioner, but as I was out of this I had to do with Pantene! The ginger smell was no longer noticeable once my hair was dry. The result was initially very good. When my hair was dry it felt soft and there was no sign of any flakes. My scalp and hair felt clean and did not itch. I continued to use this shampoo for several months with good results. However on the last few occasions I have noticed that my hair looked dull and the dreaded flakes have returned! I guess its time for a change! This shampoo is only available from The Body shop.
