I will add to all the praise of the straightening miracle! My hair is naturally very fine but wavey (including cow licks!) and so requires a lot of but is very prone to frazzling and split-ends! In the past I have used several heat protection spritz sprays that are applied to dry hair always left my hair feeling plastic-y, dry and in spite of what i assumed, it was difficult to aim the product to evenly coat my hair. The Body Shop's macadamia balm puts an end to this difficulty. It works much like a leave in conditioner and is best applied to towel dried/damp hair (apply to dry hair and you're likely to be left with a bit of residue). I ... Read the complete review

The Body Shop Macadamia Straightening Balm Description: Brand: The Body Shop / Hair Care Type: / A heat-activated and humidity-resistant, lightwieght balm, straightens hair for a smooth silky finish free from kinks and frizz! Before I begin the actual review of this product, I think it is important to set the scene to allow you an understanding of exactly why I buy it and why it works so well. I have highlighted blond hair which is prone to frizz if left to its own devices. This means that I have to straighten it daily and also blow dry it straight, to ensure that it has the best chance of being straight and smooth. Obviously, ... Read the complete review

Here I am going to review a product that has been sold by the body shop for the last few years. It is the Body shops Macadamia straightening spray. I have become obsessed with my hair straighteners over the last six years and I am never ever known to leave the house with out my hair sleek and straight. I really don't know what I did before straighteners were invented, I do know I actually ironed it with a house hold iron a few times. As my hair has become overstressed over the past few years, I always like products that help protect my hair. I have tried many straightening and heat protector sprays over the years and this is one that really stands ... Read the complete review

*****Introduction***** I have never really straightened my hair as I have a nice natural wave that is very easy to maintain and keep tidy, the reason I have never really straightened my hair is because it is very time consuming and it goes curly within minutes of leaving the house on a damp day. So when I went to a friends body shop at home party I was less than impressed when I got given a sample of this Macadamia straightening balm, as I didn't straighten my hair enough to warrant using a product like this. I have since washed and straightened my hair so I could review this product and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised at how ... Read the complete review

I used to straighten my hair every single day in a battle against frizz, but recently I've relaxed this as my hair's getting a bit longer. However I still do straighten it sometimes and for this I need a product to protect my hair from the heat and, if possible, help to straighten my hair. This Macadamia Straightening Balm from The Body Shop seemed to fit the bill. I buy a lot of products from this shop, mainly because of their fantastic discount codes and offers. This product costs £7 which I feel is very reasonable anyway when you think of similar products sold in stores such as Boots. However I think I paid about £3-£4 for it using a discount code, which is ... Read the complete review
