Advantages: Softens and smooths, yummy smell.
Disadvantages: Price, maybe, but worth it.
****I've also written a review on the shampoo, I apologise for the extreme similarity but this is written in mind of a non-dooyooer investigating this independently of the shampoo. Please bare with me if you've read the other.****
Having finally run out of the tresemme 24 hour volume shampoo and conditioner, and having come into some birthday money, I decided to give my hair a more expensive treat. The Body Shop is by far my favourite cosmetic company, for multiple reasons including their charity work (both highly publicised and not), their animal testing ethics (let's face it, it's becoming defunct anyway) and the consistently high quality I find in their products, so it was my first, and last, stop for hair treat goodness.
*MY HAIR*
I'm really lucky when it comes to my hair. I colour it it doesn't get dry from dying, and it's always healthy and full of shine. Even when I've gone a year without a hair cut I don't have split ends. It's always very shiny and healthy looking so I tend to steer clear of products for dry hair, especially as my hair tends to be a bit greasy after 36 hours.
*WHY I CHOSE IT*
The olive range wasn't my first choice. When I was browsing the hair range I noticed that it was for normal/dry hair, and the addition of olive oil made me assume that it would be more moisturising than my roots could handle, so I was leaning towards the guarana berry volumising range. Also, my hair doesn't really need any more shine! But talking to the shop assistant I discovered that feedback from other customers said that the main benefit was that the olive range made your hair feel really, really soft. So I was sold!
*MY EXPERIENCES AND THOUGHTS*
I use this after the olive shampoo; I apply it to the lengths and ends (what would be swinging from a low ponytail) and leave for a few minutes, then rub any excess into the scalp and upper lengths. I do this to ensure I wont get build up of conditioner at the roots, especially at the crown. Often I use a wide toothed comb to brush it through, getting rid of any tugs before rinsing, but in truth this isn't as really necessary with this range as it is others. The conditioner is white and smells quite herbal. a really pleasent and fresh smell but not one you'd automatically associate with the body shop if you use their fruity ranges. The conditioner washes out easily, leaving tug free hair with a really nice smell.
White I love most about this conditioner is that although my hair is heavily layered, even when I don't use styling products, my layers aren't "flyaway" and they don't stick out in random flicks (I'm growing my layers out and this is really annoying!). My hair feels so soft and smooth but not greasy, though I was worried about that. I love it!
*VALUE*
It costs £2.40 for 60 ml (travel size), £5.35 for 250 ml and £7.80 for 400 ml. They have two deals on where you can get two 250 ml products for £8.70 or two 400 ml products for £11.80 (I think), and I opted for the latter, though the former is slightly better value.
*ENVIRONMENTAL*
The bottles are widely recyclable though I don't know if they are made from recycled plastic or not.

Summary: One of the best conditioners I've ever used.
