Olive glossing shampoo from the body shop
*The body shop - the brand
The body shop opened in 1976 in Brighton, from then on it has expanded into a worldwide empire! The body shop is not only famous for its amazing refreshing, affordable pampering products, its also famous for endorsing fair trade and community trade products, helping people in less fortunate countries. In 1990 they also created the body shop foundation, which is a charity that funds human rights and environmental protection groups! Did you know that in 2005 the body shop had 2,045 stores around the globe!
*The product
I have been experimenting with my hair colour for about a year, changing from brown to bright red to dark red, then back to dark brown again, and all of this abuse has left my hair really dry. Then i discovered the body shops olive glossing shampoo, it is for normal to dry hair, which seemed perfect. It has olive oil in (obviously), which injects lots of moisture into your hair and the olive oil is directly sourced and produced in Italy, so they get more profit for the oil. The shampoo also contains organic honey, which is from Zambia, which helps protect the forests and provides people with jobs.
It gently cleanses, smoothes and moisturizes your hair, leaving it like cashmere to touch! Also the oil extract in the shampoo contains antioxidants which protect the hair.
*My experience
At first i wasn't sure that it was going to work, because my hair can get a bit greasy sometimes and i didn't want to make it look worse, but i was pleasantly surprised! It made my hair soft, shiny (but not greasy) and made my hair look more healthy! Although i don't think that it would be suitable for people with fine or greasy hair as it may make it worse and weigh it down. Currently at the body shop a 250ml bottle of shampoo is £5.35, which is a very good price! you can also buy a 60ml travel size bottle of shampoo for £2.40!
Thank you for reading my review, i hope it was helpful! :D
Summary: The body shop strikes again!
