My mother in law is a great fan of the bodyshop, every christmas or birthday she always gets me a good selection of items from there, last christmas this was one of the items i recieved.

Looking on there web site this brush sells for £8 which i personally would not have paid as i dont think it was worth the money at all.

The external part of the brush and the handle are made from wood, the internal part is rubber as on most hair brushes but the quills or teeth on the hair brush are also made from wood, this is supposed to increase the circulation on your scalp helping your hair to grow quicker, i have never had a problem with my scalp or my hair growing so have no idea if this improved.

The shape of the brush is the style i would normally buy as this shape is for sholder length to long hair, it brushes dry hair very nicely and leaves it looking the same as with a plastic quilled brush but it is useless for wet hair as the wooden quills stick to the hair and pull at it making brushing very painful.

The quills on the brush lasted around 5 months before they started to split and scratch me when i used it, i would recomend trying it to someone with scalp problems but if you have a normal scalp and hair like mine i wouldnt waste your money on it.

Summary: quite possibly just another gimmic to get you to part with your money
