PRODUCT: I am forever looking for specific hair products such as shampoo and conditioners to help keep my hair colour looking bright and blonde as some hair products can make it look dull and brassy. This shampoo by Tigi is a pH balanced shampoo with keratin and milk protein which helps to reconstruct and care for chemically treated hair which mine is. The shampoo also helps to strengthen hair and reduces breakage. It has a balanced cleansing system to remove build up without further drying hair out and it also helps to improve vibrancy and add shine. The shampoo and other products in this range help to get blondes back to their brilliant best.
PRICE: I purchaseD the Shampoo and Reconstructor in a set from Amazon for £20.10 which was a 750ml bottle of each of the products.
IN USE: To use the product I always ensure my hair is completely wet. I really like that the bottle has a pump dispenser which makes it a lot easier to dispense, especially with wet hands. I have to press down on the pump bottle at least two times in order to get a reasonable sized amount of the shampoo in order to wash my hair. The shampoo is a light pink colour and has a pearlescent like look to it as well. The shampoo has a nice consistency to it without being too runny but it's not too thick either, in fact I would say it's the perfect consistency for a shampoo. I applied this to my hair massaging my scalp as I did so. I found that the shampoo lathered up beautifully and created a nice rather lather which felt as though my hair was getting a really good wash. The scent of this shampoo wasn't as strong as I imagined but it smelt sweet and pleasant. I rinsed the shampoo out running my fingers through my hair as I did so to ensure that it was fully washed out before squeezing the excess water out of my hair and wrapping it in a towel to dry for a few minutes before blow drying.
RESULTS: I always use a wide toothed comb to comb through my wet hair before blow drying and I have to admit that I was a little surprised after washing my hair how knotty it was. I normally get a few tangles and knots in my hair every time after washing my hair but I seemed to have a lot more than normal. Despite making my hair knotty my hair always feels clean after using the shampoo and my hair colour does tend to look brighter as well. I can't really smell the scent of the product in my hair once my hair is dry. I am able to leave my hair and wash it every third day as normal.
OVERALL: Shame about making my hair knotty but I would use it again.
Being a brunette, I was a little suprised when my hair dresser used Dumb Blonde shampoo on my hair. I am a big fan of all of the TIGI products but one with blonde in the title isn't one that I would have naturally gravitated towards. As it turns out... This one isn't just for blondes.
What does the product do?
The purpose of the product is ultimately to leave the hair looking and feeling clean. It has been specifically designed for hair that has been coloured or chemically treated and it is described as being for blondes and everything in between. It contains proteins to strengthen the hair and to restore it back to its former glory. It claims that it will give the hair a massive boost of moisture, leaving it feeling soft and looking healthy, and that it will leave the hair with a dazzling shine.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be used in the same way that you would use a normal shampoo. It is to be generously applied to damp hair and massaged into the hair. The product is then to be rinsed out and followed up with a good conditioner.
Packaging and Price
The big bottle comes in a gorgeous hot pink bottle which has a pump dispenser and some extra information about the product on the back. The smaller bottle which I have also bought in the past is a pale silver metallic bottle which has a black flip top lid. The big 750ml bottle will cost you around £20 and the smaller bottle will cost you about £10. The product can be bought from most good hair dressers and also from a variety of online websites.
Aroma and Consistency
The aroma of this product is the best fragrance I've ever smelt in a hair product. It is so sugary and sweet, and right up my street. I'd wear it as a perfume if I could as I find it that delicious. The shampoo is a pearly cream colour and it has a really thick consistency. It is the thickest shampoo I've ever used.
As the shampoo is so thick, you do need to use quite a lot of it in order to coat your hair properly. The smell is really evident as you massage the shampoo into your hair which is a great thing for me but not if you don't like the smell. It works up a good lather in the hair and the bubbles are quite silky and luxurious. It really feels like it's doing a good job of cleaning my hair and it also feels quite moisuturising. It doesn't cause any discomfort or irritations on my scalp. When it comes to the time for the shampoo to be removed, the bubbles come out quite easily.
The product leaves the hair feeling really fresh and clean. The aroma stays really strongly in the hair which again is a big positive in my book. It seems to make my hair thicker and gives my hair a lovely shine. It feels stronger and seems to be in a much better condition even after the very first wash. It keeps my hair suitably clean for two days which is brilliant and it doesn't weigh down my hair or leave it looking flat.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with this shampoo. It leaves my hair clean, strong and healthy. It makes my hair smell delicious and coats it with a lovely shine. It's a little bit too expensive to use everyday but it's great for special occasions and I will always have a bottle on stand by.
I always used to buy a variety of shampoos. Normally whatever was on offer at my local supermarket and I could never justify spending a lot on it. I first experienced Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blond shampoo when I was at the hairdresser's. I first noticed the gorgeous fruity smell and then when my hair was dry I noticed how moisturised and soft my hair felt. I bought a bottle from the hairdressers for about £20 for a 750ml bottle and despite this being very expensive, I thought it was worth it. I then realised I could buy this shampoo for a lot cheaper online and also stores such as Tk max. These were at a much more reasonable prize and you can buy the 750ml bottle for about £14. You can also buy this shampoo in 350ml and 400ml bottles. These smaller bottles would be fantastic if you travel a lot or for holidays as the bigger bottles would be a bit awkward to transport around.
Don't let the name "dumb blonde" fool you, the shampoo is not just for people with blonde hair. The shampoo is great for people with any hair colour and great whether you highlight your hair or if you don't. The shampoo has loads of moisture which leaves your hair looking and feeling great. It feels extremely clean and refreshed and looks silky and smooth too.
The packaging looks great - a nice bright pink with a black and silver design. It really stands out and looks very trendy. The bottles have a pump at the top and they do not leak which is really useful as I normally end up knocking things over in the shower. The consistency of the shampoo is quite thick and it is a light pink colour. I tended to use less that I would with normal shampoo as it lathers up a lot which is fantastic as the shampoo does last a lot longer.
I would definitely recommend this shampoo, but would suggest buying it online instead of a hair salon as you can get it for a lot cheaper. I also own the conditioner and hair wax in this range and they are also fantastic. It leaves your hair looking and feeling great and is an overall brilliant shampoo!
I can't help myself but purchase new hair care products and I rarely stick to the same brand or product. My main problem is purchasing products from my hairdresser. Every visit to the hairdresser spells trouble and despite me telling myself before I go in for my appointment I will not be purchasing a shampoo or conditioner afterwards because they are overpriced and I can't really afford to, I usually do. Although on my last visit I surprised myself and I think shocked my hairdresser because he suggested I purchase from the Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde range as my previously brunette hair was now a dark to mid shade of blonde and I declined. I did however leave the salon and shopped around to find the Tigi Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo at a more reasonable price.
***Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo***
The Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo is described to contain nourishing treats to strengthen bleached and multi processed blonde hair. Tigi describe it containing "Colour LockDown Technology protects both the cuticle and the cortex for vibrant, healthy looking locks. A Delicious Paradise scent leaves hair smelling as luscious as it looks! "
The shampoo helps to strengthen and add shine as it smooth's the cuticle and softens hair whilst maintaining colour vibrancy. The shampoo has UV protection which prevents colour loss and also provides resistance to humidity.
For my dark blonde hair that was bleached and had many mid blonde highlights the shampoo sounded perfect as my main hair issues are surrounding the condition and colour fading of my blonde hair. I find my hair can become excessively dry and has a rough look to it and in between salon visits I struggle to keep my blonde hair bright.
My hairdresser sells this shampoo in his salon in the 250ml, 400ml and 750 ml sized bottles. Purchasing in salons is probably the most expensive method of purchasing salon quality hair care products and I would definitely shop around to get a better deal. In the salon the 250ml bottle costs £9 , the 400ml £15 and the 750ml £20. Other retailers sell this product a lot cheaper and online from retailers like www.feelunique.com , www.frangrancedirect.com and www.cheapsmells.co.uk you can purchase the 250ml size for £5, the 400ml for £9 and the 750ml for £12 which is a considerable saving. I was very lucky and was browsing my local TK Maxx store and noticed 250ml sized bottles of this shampoo selling for only £3.50. This is a massive saving and feel at this price this is a very reasonably priced shampoo.
The Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde shampoo I have was in a bright plastic 250ml pink bottle with a grey pump action lid however the packaging has changed and in salons you can find the new bottles which are a grey tube with the flip top lid on the base. The bottle is very easy to get product out of you simply press down on the pump dispenser and the shampoo is dispensed. The dispenser is very easy to use except for when the bottle is almost empty. I found myself screwing off the dispenser and tipping the bottle upside down to get the last bits of shampoo out. The new packaging will combat this problem as you can squeeze the last few drops out a lot easier.
Even though the shampoo is really thick in consistency it comes out of the dispenser very easily. For my long thick hair I only need three small squirts of product. The shampoo is a pearl white colour and has a lovely sweet scent. Initially I could smell just a sweet fruity scent but the more I sniff the more I think it has a fruity berry type scent which is very fresh and not too sickly.
Once dispensed into my hand the shampoo does not run out of my hand it stays in quite a firm blob on my hand until I run it through my hair. I find the thick consistency makes it a very economical product as a little bit of product goes a long way and even with the small 250ml sized bottle the shampoo lasted a long time. I tend to use this product for more special occasions or before going out so I probably only use the shampoo twice a week maximum. With this amount of use I found that my 250ml bottle lasted around 4 months before I needed to replace it.
When applied to hair the shampoo really lathers up to a thick foam which has a delicious scent. I find that although it is a thick lather it rinses out of hair very easily.
After shampooing I always use a conditioner on my hair. With the Tigi Dumb Blonde Shampoo I have used the matching conditioner from the range and also other salon quality conditioners alongside it, I find the results are just as good.
As I blow dry my hair no matter what conditioner I use I can always smell the Dumb Blonde Shampoo on my hair as I dry it. The scent is not overpowering but I can smell a sweet fruity scent which is apparent on the hair when completely dry too.
My main problem with being blonde is definitely the condition of my hair. I find my hair is a lot drier and the texture is quite coarse and straw like when at its worst. The individual hairs not only feel rough but I feel they have quite a rough frizzy appearance. Colour wise my hair is a dark blonde with mid blonde highlights which are bright for the first few weeks however in between salon visits if I do not care for my colour I find the colour looks quite dull lacks shine.
After using the Dumb Blonde shampoo I was amazed at the results after only 1 wash. Firstly the colour looked a lot brighter. Rather than it being a dull shade of blonde which makes me feel it looks slightly orange it had a real brightness to it The base colour of dark blonde had a richer more honey like colour where the lighter blonde highlights looked stronger and brighter because of the shine. The amount of shine my hair had also gave my highlights more definition and you could pick up the different shades of blonde in my hair
I was most impressed with the condition of my hair both how it felt and looked. Just by touching my hair it had a softer and a silkier feel especially towards the ends as it usually feels quite straw like. I felt that because it was softer it had more bounce to it rather than a frizz mainly as the cuticles of my hair were smooth You could definitely notice the individual hairs were smoother and I feel this lives up to the claims that the shampoo works on the hair cuticle. I could notice my hair had greater shine and I would never think from looking at my hair it had looked so dry only 30 minutes ago.
Aside from the price the only thing I have really disliked about this shampoo is that it makes my roots a little greasier than other shampoos do meaning I have to wash my hair daily. My hair looks lovely and clean all day but if I wash my hair in the morning I tend to find by the evening the roots do start looking a little lank. When my hair was brunette or red I washed my hair daily but since being blonde my hairdresser has suggested that I try and do it every other day to prevent damage from blow-drying and not to dry out the natural oils. However the conditioning and moisturising effects of this shampoo actually balance out the fact I am washing my hair daily and I do not feel that my hair becoming drier by over washing and styling it more regularly although I tend not to use this product daily.
The price of the shampoo is a little off putting but if you are willing to shop around for a bargain I would definitely recommend purchasing Tigi Bedhead Dumb Blonde Shampoo. The shampoo is brilliant for colour treated blondes as it adds moisture combats the appearance and feel of dry ends and enhances colour giving definition and shine.
I do find my hair gets slightly greasy quicker than it does with other shampoos but for the results I feel this is a fair compromise to make because of the boost of moisture.
A great shampoo that certainly isn't a dumb purchase... although purchasing in the salon may be!
TIGI is the haircare range from Toni&Guy. It has been going for a good few years now and is very popular amongst both men and women of all ages.
The range was initially only in hairdressers but is now sold in supermarkets, large chemists and other well known stores. Prices vary but this product is most expensive in hair shops and least expensive in discount shops such as B&M or Home Bargains and in supermarkets when they have offers on such as 241.
This shampoo comes in 750ml bottles, around the same as other well known brands. The packaging is excellent, with a funky purple shade and shimmering silver hologram type label. The packaging is one of TIGIs strong points and the products dont look out of place even in the most modern of bathrooms.
This shampoo is designed for blondes but anyone can use it. It is suppose to protect coloured and damaged hair which I feel it does but whether it is worth the extra money in comparison with ordinary colour protect products Im not sure.
I like using this product on holiday as the chlorine in the pool and the heat of the sun can play havoc with your hair. It certainly does the job on this occasion.
The shampoo itself smells lush and is thick and creamy. You can tell its a higher end product but I think a rrp of £10 is a little steep.
Overall I love to recieve this as a gift but I don't think it does enough to warrant such a high price.
As anyone who bleaches or dyes their hair in general will know, it can be very damaging and can lead to dryness and rough texture of the hair, or even snapping and breakage. With this product, I no longer have that problem! After seeing this product everywhere and seeing it recommended in various magazines and on multiple websites, i decided to pick up some. I found one in a salon sized bottle which is 750ml for £15 with a pump, which is different to the one commercially sold but it can be picked up in quite a lot of salons or online. The one pictured with the sports bottle type lid is just as good, though. Also, the smaller one is a lot more convenient for travel as i found when i went on holiday it was more practical to buy this size as it won't dispense itself when in your luggage as the one with the pump would.
THE PRODUCT ITSELF - the product is a light pink colour, marbled with what looks to be a silvery white colour as well. It has the same consistence of a normal shampoo if not a little runnier, the best way i could describe the thickness of it is to compare it to semi melted golden syrup haha. When you put it on your hair, it lathers up a lot more than my hair does with other shampoo's, and I was using less than i usually would. Depending on the length of your hair I'd say you need about the size of two 50p coins if you have shoulder length hair, but any shorter you'd only need the equivalent of one 50p coin, depending on the thickness. It lathers up and has a pleasant but not overpowering smell to it. When you rinse it out my hair felt thick and clean and sort of conditioned as well, which it never does with normal shampoo. I then went to condition my hair but then thought about washing my hair again with it to see if rinsing and repeating would be enough seeing as the shampoo seemed quite conditioning, and it was. I no longer need to use conditioner because of this shampoo, I only use conditioning masks every two weeks or so because I'm trying to grow out my hair but other than that, no conditioner. The product takes care of dryness and brittleness and really adds to the volume of your hair as well, so I'd really advise shampooing twice as it really makes a difference!
Although this product is quite expensive (Although, considering I got 750ml for 15 pounds, it does last a lot longer than normal shampoo's as you don't have to use it as much so the price does seem worth it) I would really recommend buying this. As stated on the back it is also suitable for "brunettes, blondes, blacks and all the colours in between" so don't let the "dumb blonde" label put you off!
I ended up using this product after being to a swish hairdressers in the town. It is Tigi products that they use, and although they used this product to Wash my hair I ended up getting a small amount of this home with me as well. I'm not sure if Hairdressers get commission for selling branded products or that, but they are always asking if I want to buy any of the products. They aren't exactly cheap either. Since it is the same stylist I go to, I think she thinks if she gives me a little to take away and try then I can make my mind up and when I go back I may want to buy it. I liked the way my hair looked after this was used in the Hairdressers, but your Hair always looks the best after you have had it done anyway.
The bottle looks just like the Dooyoo picture - as usual. It is a nice enough looking bottle and the colouring is nice but not the colour you usually see on haircare bottles. This comes in a 750ml bottle and after looking around online for the price I see that this can cost around £14. Yes this is expensive but it is a designer haircare brand and also the bottle is large. You do only need a little amount of this as well.
So primarily this one is for Damaged Hair. I wouldn't quite say my Hair is damaged and although my Hairdresser says my Hair is in good condition I do have Highlights in and also Straighten my hair 3 times a week, so I am concious that it must be dried out when in fact it is alright. This kind of product gives it a bit of a boost though.
So how does this work? As I said a little of this seems to go a long way. Once this is lathered into your hair I feel that this is a nice glossy Cream. It rinses off easily enough and even when soaking wet I feel I can feel my Hair is soft and glossy. After drying and styling as usual I notice that my hair has a nice sheen to it, and seems swishy and manageable. The scent of this is a kind of red Berries scent which is nice and this also has a clean scent to it too. There's no doubt that my Hair looks nice after using this.
This is worth a try and although I would see if there is any way to get a trial of this since it is expensive if you don't like it, but I think that you will.
I, over the years, have severely mistreated my hair, but luckily there is many products available these days to help repair that damage and protect it from future damage. My hair has been ravaged with colours, bleaches, heat styling and much more, so something was needed to help my hair recover from the personal hell I had put it through.
One of those products available is TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo. Do not let the name fool you, it is not just for those with blonde hair, it is for those with all hair colours. This shampoo is made for those who have damaged their hair with colours, highlights, bleaching or any other kind of damage. The shampoo is accompanied by conditioner and a reconstructor too.
Dumb Blonde comes in a pinky/purple bottle with a pump for dispensing the shampoo. I buy mine in 750ml bottles, but smaller and larger ones are available for those who wish to have a different size. The shampoo inside the bottle is a light pink colour, and is slightly thick in texture. It has a lovely fruity scent, which is quite soothing and smells wonderfully clean. The shampoo spreads easily when mixed with water, and it lathers up really big and quick.
It rinses really easily too, and as soon as my hair was rinsed, I could feel my hair was softer and smoother already, and that was without conditioning and whilst still wet. I always shampoo my hair twice when I wash it, just to ensure cleanliness. This shampoo cleans my hair wonderfully, and leaves a beautiful scent in my hair even when rinsed. I find that the pump is still easy to use, even with wet hands in the shower. After use, my hair is amazingly softer and smoother, and seems a lot less damaged.
The bottle does say that this is only sold in salons, but this is in fact a lie! You can buy it in hair and eauty supply store Capital, and also on many websites. I get mine from Amazon and this usually costs me £14 for the 750ml. This price seems steep, but this is the same price that salons charge for the smaller bottle! This does last for ages too, so it really is worth the money you pay for it.
I totally recommend Dumb Blonde Shampoo, as it does a wonderful job of cleaning and caring for my hair. It is amazing at doing its job, and then some. I give this shampoo a 5 out of 5, and for even better results use the conditioner and/or reconstructor.
As I stated on my review for the reconstructor I recieved this as part of a set a few years ago. Firstly to all the non blondes out there don't be put off it can be used for all hair colours! You can purchase bed head products in most salons, they tend to be more expensive so if you have the time shop around online as you often find sets with the shampoo and conditioner much cheaper.
The shampoo comes in a large bottle with a pump. It looks good in the bathroom as the packaging is very bright. The shampoo smells like the conditioner which is a mixture of mango and pineapple. It reminds me of holidays :-) The shampoo has a creamy consistency which I prefer as I find creamy shampoos more moisturising than the clear varieties. The one complaint I have about the shampoo is that although it is concentrated it takes quite a substancial amount to actually work up into a lather. The shampoo rinses out easily and does not make your hair feel heavy.
For best results I would recommend using it with the reconstructor. When the two are used together your hair will be soft and shiny and easier to manage. This is a good shampoo but I would use it as a luxury maybe once or twice a week, not for daily use as it is quite costly.
I bought a large bottle of Tigi Dumb Blonde to try on my "platinum" blonde hair, after seeing it in the hairdressers. I know Tigi are a respected brand and can see why. Was slightly dubious as many shampoos claim to maintain the colour and dont tend to, but was pleasantly surprised to find that this actually works and helps my blonde stay bright. I was also pleased as the shampoo had helped to maintain shine, and is non greasy, meaning I don't have to wash my hair daily.
Although the shampoo is really worthwile on my hair, I have found that it causes my eczema to worsen on my hands, so I try to use it in the shower where it can wash off, rather than lingering in the bath. It has a really nice smell and purple colour. The bottle also brightens up my bathroom with its quirky style!
My sister, who is a brunette, has also used this and has found it works well on her hair - so don't let the name put you off! I would recommend this!
I was a little confused when I was recommeded to use this shampoo when I saw the name of it as I am not a blonde, however, as it says on the bottle, this is not just for blondes. It is perfect for anyone who dyes their hair, whatever the colour. This shampoo smells lovely and your hair will smell gorgeous all day. It leaves your hair supersoft, with no tangles. I will never buy another brand again. It is quite a thick shampoo and you only need to use a tiny amount compared to others. It comes in a very pretty pink bottle and comes in various sizes, I have the 400ml one which I got for £5!! You may see the prices of these shampoos and be thinking "OMG!! How much for a bottle of shampoo???" I would suggest that you never buy these from a salon as you can get much better deals elsewhere. I have bought several items from the bedhead range from eBay for much less than half the price you would pay in a salon. Also stores such as TK Maxx regularly stock this brand. They don't have the whole range though, just whatever they can get hold of. From TK Maxx I recently bought a Bedhead shampoo and conditioner "tween" set 750ml for £16.95 for both of them. Thats about £8.50 each. If you take into account just how long these shampoos last for, and its a long time as you only need to use a tiny amount, and the bottles are huge, it actually works out better value than buying high street shampoos. A 400ml bottle lasts me about 4 months and I wash my hair every day without fail. The only thing I can see as a disadvantage is it could be awkward if you wanted to take these on holiday or if you generally travel alot. If you have the large sizes, you would not want to be lugging these around taking up half your suitcase. Also if you have the bottles with the pump tops, if you want to close and lock it you lose a small amount of the shampoo in doing this. So I would suggest buying some of those travel bottles from Boots etc and just taking as much as you will be needing. Overall one of the best shampoos I have used but I would never pay salon prices for them.
My poor hair. It has to suffer through all the dying, the heat from my curlers and straightners, and all the harsh weather and chemicals that my poor damaged hair is exposed too. And all those things are beginning to take it's toll on my hair, my hairs becoming dry, with lots of split ends, and starting to falling out a little bit.
After having my hair cut recently, in to a cute bob, my hairdresser recommended using Tigi Bed head Dumb Blonde Shampoo, as it helps with dyed and damaged hair, but did I live up to my expectations?
So in the shower, making sure my hair is a suitable wetness, I began using the shampoo. The amount of the shampoo to use on hair, may be a smaller amount then other shampoos, I personally used around a 20p piece sized blob, maybe a bit bigger, but the size you use on your hair would depend on how long your hair is and how thick, but try not to use a lot of the shampoo on your hair as the shampoo is very think and rich, so if you use to much on your hair, it could make your greasy and overly shiny.
The shampoo on my hair was easy to apply as it smoothed over my hair easily, and felt kind of soothing over my hair. Also the shampoo was fairly easy to wash out and there was no shampoo left in my hair after around 3 minutes of washing.
The finished result was almost perfect. My hair felt soft, smooth and sexy. The shampoo made my hair feel less damaged and made my hair look much much healthier, as it made my blonde dye brighter and shinier, also my hair looked noticeably clean and refreshed, abit like coming out of the professional hairdressers, it feels abit like that. So I was personally, very impressed! I would recommend this Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo very highly, its amazing.
Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo is available at hairdressers across the UK, and also hairdressing shops such as Sally's around the country. Prices can vary from 5-9 pounds.
I purchased this shampoo after the hairdresser tried it on my hair and I went away loving the smell of my hair. I did not purchase it direct from the hairdressers as they only sell it in small bottles and they are very expensive, but later found it reduced in another shop for a large salon sized bottle. It was in a deal with the bed head conditioner of the same make 'dumb blonde' although it is not called conditioner, it is called reconstructor.
The name dumb blonde suggests this shampoo should be used only on blonde hair but this is not the case. The shampoo is recommended for any coloured hair. During my time of using this shampoo I have had blonde and brown hair and on both it has had the same fantastic effect.
The product comes in quite funky packaging (typical of the bed head range). The large bottle I bought is pink all over with silver writing on it. The large sizes have apump dispenser head and the smaller ones have a pull up lid that you can then squeeze product out of. Both dispensers are easy to use even with wet slippy hands in a shower or bath.
The product itself is to be used very sparingly. The first time I used it I squeezed out two to three squirts which is the equivalent I would use of any other shampoo. This was far to much and one small squirt more than coats my long hair. This is great as the bottle lasts for ages, and a shampoo you first think is very expensive ends up actually being very cheap!
The shampoo works wonders on my dry, brittle hair. It makes it shinier, stops colour fade, and makes it feel much thicker and healthier. I have never yet come across this level of results with any other shampoo. Another amazing side to this shampoo is the smell, it smells sweet and like strawberry bubblegum. It gives hair a lovely smell, that tons of people compliment you on.
I must admit - I almost didn't buy this product from my hairdresser when he told me it was £7!! BUT, it really is worth it! Being a brunette, was confused why I was recommended this product but it is in fact for anyone with coloured or damaged hair.
You need such a small amount of the shampoo - it is really thick and rich and about 5 squirts does thick shoulder length hair (you look at the amount in your hand certain it wont be enough!)
Your hair really does feel not only clean, but moisturised unlike other shampoos which can leave your hair feeling dried out. My only criticism of the product is not to buy the product in the bottle pump version (like a hand soap dispenser bottle) but buy one where you can pour it out. If you're in a rush, it's a pain as it's so thick; the pumping handle takes a while to return to the normal position. OK, I know it sounds fickle, but if you're rushing, every second counts! Although the plus side is of course that you don't use it excessively.
Don't be put off by the price, it lasts more than twice as long as my regular shampoo used to so it really is value for money.
Tigi are wll known for making good quality shampoos, conditioners and hair products, as someone with blonded hair I thought I should give this a go.
After wetting hair you squeeze a very small amount into the plam of your hand, this lathers up superbly so you need the smallest amount. It is thick in consistency and a puple pink colour, which is quite pleasing on the eye. After a good lather, it rinses out really well with warm water.
After the wash:
Hair feels very clean and has a softer feel about it and combing it is very easy indeed. It blowdries easily and perhaps a little quicker after using this, hair feels knot free and has a silky touch.
It does not tame frizzy hair, but it will help to smooth the cuticle. Hair is left in a good condition.
It does produce a good result, but I do feel the price is a lot (a bottle costs about £14) though it will last a while. It seems to make little difference to the blonde colour though so that was a disappointment.
Buy it if:
You want a luxary shampoo, but this is not quite as amazing as you might expect.
